Hi Gregoire, we found your meaningful gift as in your review and will be leaving it here for the next finder. Glad to hear you are enjoying your time in Oz. Maybe you are one of the 3 we spoke with at Cape Huay.Excellent walk along minimal track once you are past the few hundred metres of private property proudly proclaimed as such at the entrance sadly displaying the lingering attitude of current owners of such land that supports the bounty hunter system by which it was originally stolen by keeping that fact securely swept under the carpet.

Really enjoyed this walk steep sections with uneven ground but ok for a relatively fit and healthy person. The top is worth the effort, at the top go right up onto the rocks for an amazing outlook. If you're more daring go left and climb up to the survey marker, very steep drops and to be honest a rope and harness would be handy, not for the feint of heart if you go that way. Watch out for the angry dogs at the property adjacent to the car park.

I have done this walk a couple of times and can highly recommend waiting for a clear day because the views are sensational! I personally believe this to be THE MOST REWARDING SHORT HIKE IN TASSIE!! The track has been upgraded in the past year or two and is much easier than in the past. It is a mildly techincal walk with plenty of loose rocks through ferns, stunning trees and bushes. The summit area can be difficult to reach for some as there are some large boulders to step up and onto.

Good little short track up to the top. Scrambling at the top and summitting requires a little climbing and confidence with heights. Would not advise it in the rain as the top would be fairly slippery and treacherous.

Very good hiking for the afternoon or the morning. And I leave a present at the top of the mountain. Enjoy!

Steepish and loose but fairly easy track to a wonderful view. We walked to the false top, probably an hour and a half all up round trip with enjoyment breaks. The triangulation station was a step too far up a sketchy iron foothold. Scrambles are not for me! A very nice walk.

It is a steep climb specially the end bit to get right to the trig. But oh My! The 360 view at the top is absolutely amazing. You can really see far away, st Helens, Bay of fires, Ben Lomond... Definitely worth the climb. The road to the car park is pretty good. The last 500m are pretty bumpy bit absolutely fine with 2wd. Would probably not recommend the hike if raining.
