Berto's Butchery

I’ve been to Berto’s Butchery a few times now and really love their meat, the staff are always super friendly as well.Definitely highly recommend!

Not friendly service, services people before you, even when you were before them, had argued the point with the butcher, very nasty. Won't go there anymore.

I purchased hamburger patties pre made - firstly when purchased the lady placed them all in a bag (not in a tray so the rounded hamburger patties were now squashed). The patties had a terrible smell and lots of fat inside off the mince.I’m not sure if all the meat is similar as this was my first and last purchase from this butcher.

Quality meat, beautiful presentation and a very friendly owner. Prices are slightly higher than others hence the 4 stars. And the best part is, it’s Halal!Well, they sell pork too at the shop, but they have a pretty clean system and they keep all meat types segregated. I would definitely recommend buying meat from here if you live in the vicinity (or happen to work nearby like I do).

Bought beef mince from here - incredibly watered down and not flavourful at all - when I cooked it there was so much liquid in the pan! A local farmer warned me that some butchers add water to their meat to increase the volume, not saying this is what Berto's do but I'd certainly speculate it. Nice customer service at the very least.

Ralph is such an amazing butcher the quality of meat if amazing and especially the gyros meat he makes for me, his gyros rub is just perfect. Reading the previous review from Boden Morrison i was amazed some one can write something like that, who the hell would sell 100 sausages for $20. You have rocks in your head. We have just discovered this butcher and we will not be getting our meat anywhere else!!Quality is superb and staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful!!!Definitely recommend them!!

You've got to be kidding yourself. What a joke of a business. Yes they say they'll take orders for Christmas. The butcher happily took my order and agreed on a fair price for a kilo of small chipolatas (albeit three times a normal price) and said he could make them small, showed me an example, and said he could do 100 for $20. Great. When I returned a week later to confirm the order, he tried to sell me 5kg worth and was convinced I'd need that amount. So that's 5kg*20$ a kilo=$100 for 100 small chipolatas. So that's $1 per chipolata. Are you kidding?! Next he says he can't make the size I asked for. Why would you say you can make something, show me the exact size then a week later it can't be done? What a joke. If you have half a brain don't waste your money here. The quality of meat previously purchased here was no better than Coles next door which has fair prices. Don't believe anything this fool says, save your money and go ANYWHERE else. Don't be fooled by the new sign and apparently cheap specials. They are not. Also this is one of those butchers that just pester and rush you into buying stuff as soon as you walk close enough.
