Beautiful spot and lovely staff. Come several times a week for a morning coffee before walking on the beach. Coffee is always good! They also have a good selection of non-dairy milks. I get hot chips from here at least once a week too. My friend loves getting the red emperor and chip combo. Definitely recommend!

I rang here to order a burger for my dinner however the lady who answered the phone with a yeahwas very rude, now I have worked in fish and chip shops for most of my life when you take phone orders or answer phone calls to a business you answer by greeting the person with hello and say name of business you are working at. However this didn't happen and I decided to make my own steak burger.

Neally didn’t eat here with some of the reviews but so glad we did as our flathead and chips for $11 each was generous, delicious and excellent value. The 3 flathead with crunchy panko crumb was the tastiest I’ve had in a while and the battered version was light with no sogginess as many can be, well cooked chips too. Probably the only thing for us was not enough salt but extra sachets were available.Staff were friendly and our fresh and hot meal served in under 15 mins, which wasn’t a problem when the view is so stunning. Plenty of seating options with kiddies park close by.

The flathead and chips were great size, good portions too. A solid steak sarnie also. The staff seems a but overwhelmed thou. It's a top spot and with the right operators could be a destination eatery

We love their fish and chips, always amazing, however we are in hopes everytime we order for friendly service which is always a little lacking. Service with a smile. We will always return for more as it is a magic spot. People who order food food are paying your wages so a smile goes a long way and is free to give

Service here is terrible. Waited over an hour for basic fish and chips and they got it wrong. The place itself is lovely and well situated and should have been a lovely lunch. The poor kids serving are dooms what they can but the people running the kitchen must improve their processes. It was busy I guess but not that busy it takes an hour to process an order. Do better Driftwood. You have been told this already many times. I will hesitate to come back because of the unreasonable wait for basic takeaway.

I've been staying in Elliott all week and I visit the Driftwood cafe daily for a morning coffee and hash brown. We also stopped in for fish and chips twice.Firstly, the almond milk latte was great on every single visit! I love the colorful bio cups they use too. Also, the best hash browns I've ever had, so crispy! In terms of the fish and chips, what amazing value! We had the fisherman's basket for 2 people and it was around $25. We could barely get through it, you also get 2 soft drink cans included in that price. Would definitely recommend this cafe, I'll be grabbing a coffee as we leave town tomorrow morning.
