Harvey Norman Mackay

The store is huge and they have plenty of products. Sometimes you get a staff member who’s really helpful and has your best interest at heart, sometimes you get somebody who’ll sell you anything. A bit like Telstra at times, it’s always best to know what you’re going in for imo. Pricing isn’t so competitive but I’m pretty sure they’ll price match so it’s kind of irrelevant.

The service and addvice at Harvey Norman Mackay is certinly 2nd to none, cant rate them highly enough.

I had an issue with a brand new LG TV that I had purchased from the Mackay store 6 months ago. LG didn't want to know about my issue.Harvey Norman electrical department in Mackay went above and beyond to help me resolve my problem.Much appreciated.

Very disappointing customer service received for the electrical department today. Not once but twice as we approached the same two sales guys to assist us they looked at our direction then walked away from us. It was clear we were needing assistance. Finally after the third attempt to get assistance , it took some to to ask hi, how can we help you after standing in front of them for some time....and no they were not in the middle of something just bantering amongst eachother. Not working hard for their money that's for sure.

Rang this morning to ask about a chair. Introduced myself by name and all the lady wanted to do was call me sweet after I asked for her not to. Then proceeded to ask me over and over again if I was on the website. I was. Super Unhelpful staff. Wont be buying from them

Depends on which department you shop at depends on the experience.Bedding 11/10 staff were easy to deal with and made the purchase easyFurniture 6/10 knowledgeable staff just seemed too pushy to make a saleElectrical 2/10 staff seemed more interested in socialising amongst themselves rather than dealing with customers.

i came in to buy some necessities for the house i recently bought (fridge, freezer, washer, couch and bed) was in the store looking at everything for 45minutes about and not a single person came up to ask me for a hand. i have coloured hair, tatts and im only 19 i assume this is the issue as i witnessed 3-4 older more “mature” looking women walk in and be asked if they need anything almost as soon as they were in the section. at one point i even was looking at a fridge and as the older woman walked passed to go to another section a bloke at a desk asked if she needed a hand but not a single word muttered to me when i was not even 2metres away. several sales clerks would have seen me yet no one came up to me. lost opportunity i will go els where to a business that will respect me and not judge me from my age/looks.

Moved to Bowen recently and have been going here for all my furniture so far!The staff are wonderful. Always someone ready to help. Very informative of every product. They make good recommendations and make me feel satisfied in my decision with my purchase. I’m quite indecisive at time when it comes to furniture but they’re all super patient!!Thank you Mackay Harvey Norman furniture department. Buying furniture I expect to have for a long time is a big decision on which styles for looks and function and you guys make it as easy as it can be!

We have always purchased all of our beds, white goods and electrical products from Harvey Norman Mackay. They are fantastic to deal with. I always see the sales consultant Jason Tam when I need anything. Recently my washing machine broke and I needed one urgently. He was quick to let me know which he would recommend for our needs and what was in stock to be delivered straight to me ASAP. Thank you Jason for all your help over the years and hopefully years to come. You are a pleasure to deal with.
