Hornsby Connect is supposed to be a charity, it's advertising as such, but with highly inflated prices and terrible customer service. The food is expensive for its poor quality and they charge $15 before you even enter minimum. Did I mention it was considered a charity? Also a 30 min wait before you even have the privilege of shopping for sub-par food. Poorly stocked and managed. Can't stand being treated like cattle and paying top shekel prices. Coles or Woolworths have better value and more pleasant atmosphere. Won't be taken advantage by this scam operating as a charity, it's clearly capitalism at its best.

Excellent local community service providing fresh fruit, veges, meat, dairy and home staples at a great price if you are in need.

This place treated me like a POS. @Ruth Odonohue just look at some people that gave Hornsby Connect 5 star reviews. One drives a Tesla and another shops at Gucci and it seem's others seem to spend all there time traveling and eating at fancy restaurants and reviewing everything. I guess when you have $ they need this service. Your absolutely correct in your review.

What an absolutely fantastic community organisation helping those who may struggle to buy groceries... Lyn and her team offer an excellent service to the Hornsby area by providing affordable or free groceries to the less fortunate. Thank you Lyn for all your assistance during my personal homeless crisis.

I was treated with total respect and everyone was kind and helpful. I was a tiny bit disappointed because I was told (by another agency) that I could get extra vegetables and fruit, but I couldn't. Maybe that varies according to availability. Definitely great value for money.

Volunteers do a great job to help people doing it tuff. Good meals served.

A very pleasant experience

I bring a couple of people to do their shopping every couple of weeks.Generally the situation is very well run and the regular volunteers are great people.I guess at time’s it is the rather pushy Clients who will not show consideration for others.The guys I bring are very highly strung and become very agitated with the pushing of the minorityI did suggest less people at a time last year and that has really helped.Prices are at $15 or 30 points which is pretty good as there are no charge items and the vegetables and bread are also no charge.Understand the products are often donated however many more packs of low cost meats would be good.Minced Turkey and veal , beef , lamb can go a long way if we show the clients how to cook it.My clients are not as able as the majority of the customers who shop with you.Best regardsJohnBornfree.care
