Music N Me

Every now and then you are fortunate enough to meet someone whose passion is their profession. Laura is lucky enough to be one of these people, which means our kids get to learn piano and music with the passion that it deserves. The excitement they get when they start to learn their new favourite song, or start to compose their new masterpiece is always a joy to watch. We are really fortunate to have Laura as our kids piano teacher, and look forward to seeing how their love of piano and music blossom.

To sum up my experience with Laura at music and me, there simply aren’t enough words. Laura is one of the most incredible, thoughtful, driven, encouraging, caring women I’ve ever met and due to that, to say her studio is one in a million simply isn’t descriptive enough ! I spent over 6 year learning piano at music and me and I grew tremendously in that time, not just in the way of my growth in musical knowledge but also as a person. Laura is able to push us out of our comfort zones just the right amount, in saying that, she has the amazing talent of sensing if something is way too much and we would always come up with a new way ! To put it simply, I would not be who I am today without Laura and her inspirational attitude and amazing studio ! I wouldn’t change my time there for the world !

Laura Kahar from Music n Me has been teaching piano to all three of my children now for close to a decade. Thanks to Laura, they are enthusiastic musicians and hearing them play brings us great joy. Laura, Krista & her music team are passionate, caring and gentle teachers who bring out the very best musicianship and creativity in your child. My son's knowledge of music, singing, technique, and reading music improved exponentially during his tutelage with Music n Me. He has become a thinking musician, not assigned to rote learning but given the tools to understand how to create his own song writing and chord progressions. Laura of Music n Me is truly a phenomenal teacher. She has a completely engaging rapport with her students and inspires them by paying attention to what they naturally enjoy about music and expanding upon those things. My daughter started Music n Me when she was 3,5 and absolutely loved it first time! Laura is an excellent teacher who knows how to engage kids and the group format of the class makes it so much fun which is more important for this age bracket of 3-5 when it’s hard to keep them still in front of the piano. When the lockdown started I was a bit hesitant to do online class as I wasn't sure if my daughter (6 now) is going to be engaged enough but Laura's format is so entertaining for the kids. Recently Music n Me introduced Tonara app has everything you need - all the notes, music, instructions for the parents, you can record your playing and listen back. We also do Voice with Krista and loved it too:)

Our 7 year old has been attending piano lessons at Music n Me for the last two years and she has been loving it. Miss Laura is firm, kind, and encouraging, and there are different motivational tasks each term to help keep up the daily practice. My daughter has come so far on piano that I have started lessons with Miss Laura as well, just to keep up.Miss Laura fosters the joy of piano and I highly recommend this school.

My kids love learning the piano with Laura at Music n Me! Laura is an enthusiastic and passionate music teacher who teaches in a fun and creative way full of encouragement.
