Friendly staff. Nice environment.Milkshake was $8 and it was tiny. They said they could do a thick-shake and it wasn’t thick at all.I also prefer to be sustainable. The milkshake came out in a throwaway cup when I was dining in.The bottom of our croissant was also really burnt.

Having eaten at a few places in Rye we were pleasantly surprised this morning at Sea Store where we both had the Eggs Benedict ( with bacon ) and it was sensational, yum!!!!Good coffee, lovely staff, nice place to visit on a cold winters day.

The cafe is extremely busy and I understand they may be short staffed but they serve the absolute worst coffee I have ever had. We ordered an iced latte and it tasted like ash / burnt / stale espresso. We asked for it to be remade and the waitress just said ‘it’s cold brew’ and walked off. Overpriced, gross and rude.Editing to add (I wasn’t going to but the reply from the venue is wrong so here’s what happened after I posted the original review) - I posted this review before I left the venue. After posting the review another woman approached the table and (no exaggeration) aggressively with a raised voice asked if we wanted our coffees remade. She then had a raised voice and continued talking about cold brew and said she would remake our coffees (20 mins after we had asked and been walked off on). We felt uncomfortable with how we had been approached as she had clearly seen the review and angrily came up to us. We wanted to leave because we had finished our food and were walked off on when we originally asked for the coffee to be remade. Then the lady said as we were leaving AT LEAST I OFFERED A SOLUTION and I said well we were walked off on when we asked for it to be remade originally. The response to this review is just as gross and stupid as their service. Do not go here unless you want the worst coffee ever and rude staff that yell at you.Some tips for the venue -1. If someone asks for something to be remade don’t just smile and walk off on them2 Don’t yell at your customers in front of a busy restaurant because we don’t want our coffees remade when we are literally standing up trying to leave. The moments gone3. An iced latte is literally the same ingredients as a hot latte (espresso and milk)4. An iced cold brew would be cold brew and milk and ice5. Unlike the way you spoke to us and assumed we don’t like cold brew - we do. The one served to us was just bad. Not sure if it was a bad batch or the end of the bottle but it was really bad.

Had breakfast here today, very reasonably priced and huge portions. Would definitely come back.

We sat on the outdoor tables in the sun. We had a chciken and avo sandwich, salmon bagle and fries which were all fantastic. The coffee was amazing and so was the almond croissant. No table service although all food came out quickly and lovely staff.

Came here for a light lunch during the week. Only 1 of 2 salads available unfortunately. The salad was ok although too heavy on the mayonnaise, overpowering the flavours and freshness. The beetroot juice was lovely.

The available food options were limited to wraps and bagels in the display fridge, despite being informed that they were the only choices. Interestingly, we observed subsequent customers arriving after us and ordering meals prepared in the kitchen. The overall experience was characterized by average food and service.

Great breakfast and good coffee. Staff was friendly despite our large group that included noisy kids. The kids room is handy but may need a good clean.

Great salad options! I ordered the trout salad perfect balance of mayonnaise bringing out the freshly add produce…amazing service excellent very friendly and helpful. We will be back!
