Mount Dromedary

Wish they would refer to by correct Aboriginal name, Gulaga. So alive and green, worth every last step. Do some reading beforehand on Aboriginal significance of site really worthwhile. If you don’t have a 4WD you will need to add an additional 45 min to walk as regular car will not make it past final hill. Will need to park up on side road and walk until you reach main car park/start of walk. Phone service available. Thoroughly marked track with a composting bathroom before resuming rainforest track

It's name is Gulaga Mountain. Yuin land. Google maps.. use the right names. It always was and will continue to be Aborginal land. Yuin land.

Great walk for the fit. All up hill from the carpark. Fabulous rain forest, ferns, mosses and some huge gum specimens.

Brilliant views over the coast and fascinating flaura but a very steep climb. You definitely need to be fit to enjoy the 12 km walk!

This is a very rewarding but tough hike to the summit. It starts out in the laneway beside the La Galette cafe in Tilba Tilba. There is a walk along a country lane with nice views of the task ahead before you get to the park and trail proper.The track is good and wide for the most part but the incline, while not that steep, is just brutally constant so you will feel the burn early on.There is a rest area with table and toilets and information board at The Saddle" as you start to get near the top. From the rest area follow the Rainforest track to the left get to the summit - it goes down hill a bit which is a bit misleading but it is the correct track and will eventually turn right on to a tighter

Disappointing to get to the top and then can't enjoy any view at all due to a lack of maintenance.

A solid half-day walk to the top of an extinct volcano and Aboriginal cultural site. The Aboriginal site is great and worth the short detour; there's not much of a view from the peak.
