I have been a very satisfied customer for years. Today my wife & I popped in to get a small pack of yearling rump. No packs were available on the shelf, only budget rump. I approached the main counter and was served by an older person. There was beautifully presented yearling rump in trays, but each cut just too large for the two of us. We asked for a smaller cut, and he presented a smaller piece from the back of the tray, but it just didn’t look that appealing. We asked whether he could cut one of the larger cuts in half, but in an irritated manner he refused and said “ We don’t do that”. Appalling service. Normally the staff are extremely helpful.I am very happy to edit my review following the Owners response: So pleased to be able to frequent Fresh Meats again. Great choices and well presented products. Staff are great. Many thanks for your prompt reply.

I understand this is a meat place, and maybe one should not buy fish from a butcher... however, I bought 'flat head fillets' today (around $48/kg). Paid around $15 for two. Both have a row of large bones in them, in the middle of fillet, which I only discovered when at home. I understand some bones may be present, but when you say 'fillet' one kind of expect most bones are removed (specially for that price). I have bought flat heads many times and well aware it is very possible to fillet them so there are no bones. Maybe make it clear to customers so they can make a decision if they want bones or not in their fillets...

I always spend tonnes of dollars in this shop per week and today I got served by the cashier who was downright rude and obnoxious. She seemed like she was new but maybe her management should have trained her better or she should realise working in retail industry requires a proper customer service etiquette

I cannot recommend Fresh Meats enough on their help. I ordered pork belly and potato bake for a small gathering. Their communication was prompt and precise. Food was ready when stated and the quality and size were wonderful. All in all a 5 star experience. Thank you

Second time I’ve been there, and It will be the last! Definitely not fresh meat! slimy weird smell and my wife & I both have crook guts. Over priced, much better fresher butchers around!

Have been shopping here for years and use to be really good. Have given it the benefit of the doubt over the past couple of months but today is the last time I will shop here.Have purchased expensive steaks and they haven't been bled properly and have been thrown to my dogs, seems like of late there is never stock on the shelves, staffing is limited and end up waiting for long periods of time to be served and then again today purchased expensive steak and taste funky.
