True Value Outdoor Blinds

Sorry long review but this is information. I would look for in a contractor to make a decision to proceedI engaged 3 different providers to get a quotation, the first sent me a high quote based on a photo and some measurements I provided without a site inspection, the second called me 1 week later and the third ‘True value blinds’ called me the following day to organise a site inspection which left a good impression with me, the rep arrived on time as per inspection booked and gave a very thorough description of process/product/installation lead time. He had a briefcase which had a sample of the type of framing & track used also different selection of fabric colour & design……….without seeing an actual cost I was very impressed…….I must also add this guy wasn’t pushing a product or a typical sales person which was refreshing, he then asked if I wanted to continue with a quote which was calculated in 5 min………..long story longer the price was competitive and if I committed on the day with 50% deposit there was a further discount so we signed documents and I payed deposit.The following day I received a call from the office advising they will send a 2nd rep to site to re-measure and confirm all details before the product goes into production (Again impressed by the constant updating)All this communication has taken place in roughly a 2 week timeline, on the 2nd inspection the guy advises it normally takes roughly 4-6 weeks to manufacture and complete the install.Pretty much on the 4th week I receive a call from the office asking if the install can be done on the following day, to my excitement I was super happy to see the finished productThe crew arrived exactly the time of booking and were on-site for approximately 2.5 hours to complete.Fantastic bunch of boys and so happy with the finish!!! They also cleaned there mess thoroughly and left the space spotlessEvery step of the way was on point from inquiry to follow up phone calls to inspection then install…………nothing but exceptional service from this business. The owner of this company should be proud of their staff & professionalism not to mention a gold star product!!!!!!!If your thinking about blinds outdoors I wouldn’t go anywhere else!!!!P.S important to note we got the automatic blinds with remote & mobile App control………as you can see in the photos they’ve fitted the framing and track as if it’s part of the house looks so good!!!

Just had an outdoor blind installed by True Value Blinds & must say it’s been a pleasure dealing with them from start to finish.From the initial visit of Matt, who was wonderful and went through everything clearly and thoroughly.To their check measure tech who was great too (sorry can’t remember his name) and then their fantastic install team of Nathan & Ethan who went above & beyond with the install and installed the blind perfectly and they also spent time going through everything with me too and cleaned up once finishedThe finished product looks really good and certainly makes a great addition to my new outdoor living spaceI would highly recommend True Value Blinds.RegardsCraig

The blinds are pretty good, installed 4 months ago and no complaints so far.What I would like to point out is that the complimentary up to A$1000 True value travel voucher being offered is unfortunately a scam - the hotels they offer are valued at $50 per night (at the time of cheking). However to claim this jaw droppingly juicy offer

We are very happy with our motorised blinds. The staff had great communication and the installers did a fantastic job. Would definitely recommend their services. Special shout out to Travis who was very accommodating in helping us achieve the install we wanted on a tricky site.

Absolutely pleasure to deal with from start to finish.We had motorised outdoor blinds installed and couldn’t fault their customer service (any queries via phone or email were promptly responded to), the installation experience (guys were professional, came on time and did a quality job), and bonus is they offer great value (cheaper than other quotes I got plus came with longer 10year warranty on both the blinds and the motor!).Overall very happy with everything, and it’s great that I can now enjoy my alfresco without the bugs and bad weather!

I really would like to thank True Value for their high standards and quality work from their customers service staff like Paul who exemplify the meaning of service. Paul explained exactly what was going to happen the quality material that they used and stayed in touch with us until completion. The best part is the follow up. I had an accident and the car hit one of the rails. I called Paul and in minutes their team called me to ensure their maintenance team will contact me to help rectify and provide repair service. Got these blinds in 2020 and the initial contact and process was great. Jimmy was friendly and knowledgeable. Quick to help and respond to queries.Although first issues occurred with incorrect measurement and miscommunication with the installers. They had to go back and get it redone.The blinds did not sit perfectly in the reel from the beginning and when I inquired about it, was told it was normal. Subsequent emails were ignored. Lived with it as it functions fine and is just aesthetics.Recently with heavy rains, the blinds come down on their own. Emailed again to ask if anything can be done and, it's been a week and I have not received a reply.Post communication and assistance to help with issues is non-existent, something to consider if you want to use this company.06/03/23 Additional from original postTrue Value reached out and has said Jimmy doesn't monitor emails anymore, his admin has taken over that job and apologised profusely on his behalf.They organised a technician to attend promptly and that was great.From the repair work it is clear that the initial issue of it sitting so low could have been fixed and quite likely related to why it was coming down in the rain.Was told that since I've had these blinds around 3 years, the springs will lose their tension and will require tightening. A little worrying as warranty is only for 10 years.Experience with True Blinds would have been perfect had they come out initially to fix the tension and how the blinds sat.
