Australian Alpaca Barn

The loveliest lady working there. She was very friendly (even for Leura standards!) and knowledgeable and we felt very welcome.

The shop owner is lovely and very accommodating just like what other reviewers mentioned here. She adds value to the shopping experience of her customers.

A good visit for the tourist looking for Alpaca clothing in less-than size 16, but a far cry from the place we remember, there is less floor-space, less clothing and sizes available on the racks, and almost no range of wools or other knit yourself" alpaca materials... :-("

I'm assuming the English woman I saw today is the lady that everyone is saying is lovely.Well I went there with a friend today to buy an Alpaca scarf. After about half an hour of her telling us about the scarves and myself asking questions about the scarves, myself and my friend decided we'd have lunch and then come back. I walked up to the lady to tell her and before I said a word she looked at me and said that she doesn't want me in the store because she was losing customers because I was asking too many questions. Apparently she doesn't know that every customer that walks through the door is classed as a potential sale. If there was another store in Leura that sold Alpaca scarves then I would have gone there. We reluctantly went back and bought a scarf. Whilst doing the transaction she was nice as pie and acted totally unawares of the fact that she was rude 30 minutes earlier. No apology at all. Before leaving I told her that she should be nice to all customers irrespective of whether they make a purchase or not. She didn't seem to care. I then told her that I felt like posting a bad review on social media about my experience and her rude manner and hopefully this would deter people from doing business there in the future. This didn't seem to phase her either as she smuggly said 'No it won't'. This is the owner of the shop - Ha. Well hopefully Alpaca has a head office which will be where a copy of this review will also be going.I'm sure this lady believes she can treat anyone how she wants and that the buck stops with her.

Owner was very friendly and had a wide variety of alpaca clothing and friends.
