Deux Belettes

Posting on behalf of displeased clients with an English barrier.My clients contacted us for flowers and other planning details . Like any decent business - We provide contracts, terms and most of all transparency. They began to ask us for details outside our scope and inquired if shipping the flowers to this location would be an option based on the local logistics.From one business owner to another we simply can’t tolerate clients falling into bad arrangements with several flaming red flags and we advised our clients to look elsewhere based on their needs. For one it would negatively impact their view of us by association and for another all event planning business are recovering and are largely focused on rebuilding or protecting their business.Deux Belettes pretends these simple facts of reality don’t apply to them and is sadly one of the many toxic traits they have since been exposed of.I can make plenty of excuses for bad communication but ultimately it’s the lack of priority, common sense and general good will that damages relationships.The owners don’t place any serious effort in communication and while this may be excused due to technological barriers when weddings of all events are involved there’s really no credible reason for this.Their ideal clients seem to be those who just ignorantly pay without concern and are lucky enough to catch the owners in a good enough mood. I’m posting this as a cautionary tale to any event coordinator who hears of this business as they will unlikely be cooperative and results in several chain reactions of headaches and excuses for their clients and themselves. The water issue is only the one if many they have had in the past and failed to provide warning of.Lastly, to the owners of Deux Belettes, perhaps consider placing more basic effort in your integrity which is such a strange twist of character from a place that once praised itself for it but now insists on the opposite.From one business owner to another, do better. We are no longer defending bad industry practices.Let this serve as a warning for clients and other businesses alike.

So blessed to be apart of our family wedding at the jaw dropping venue it has everything and every space can not take a bad picture. During the day was just beautiful as we had the ceremony here and think fingerfood/canapés while mingling and having fun. Really felt we were overseas in Italy or France had those vibes for sure and then at night was when the magic happened the only thing everyone hated is that when we had to leave…… was a blast and what a venue with a day we will never forget.

This venue is straight out of a fairy tale, there is no other way to describe it, there is nothing else like Deux Belettes. It is hands down the most beautiful and dreamiest wedding venue out there. I cannot thank our photographer Rainee from Cloud Nine Photograph for finding the venue for us and for capturing the enchantment of Deux Belettes in her photos.Sharon, Ross and Sven went so far above and beyond to make our day perfect and special. From fitting us in at short notice, to the food, to the chandeliers they hung up in the arch for us. We are both so grateful for them and truly cannot thank them enough for giving us the perfect venue for the perfect wedding day.

Had the most amazing wedding at the most amazing, intimate venue in NSW over the weekend. Sharon & Ross have done an extraordinary job with this place, and accompanied with Haley to give my wife and I the best day of our lives.Cannot fault this fantastic venue at all.

Very rude owners.Deux Bellettes is no longer a venue for wedding or events.I had dreamed of this venue for my wedding for the last 3 years. When I came to the venue to view I was met with such disinterest, such rudeness, and very disrespectful nature from the owners.All that was required was a simple communication to let us know the venue was no longer taking bookings. We were told we were trespassing and that we shouldn’t have came in.Note: Before greeting the owners, we were under the impression it would be ok to wait and peruse the grounds briefly until they met us. This was perceived as rudeness by the owners who didn’t come out until we looked for and found the reception entrance.1. There is no signage informing people the venue is no longer operational.2. When you turn into the driveway there is parking signage and venue signage which implies the venue is operational.3. The website is operational and does not clearly state it’s closure.

We had an amazing time working with Deux Belettes for a wedding we planned and styled on behalf of an overseas client. The venue itself is marvellous and unique in every way and guests were in complete awe from the moment they arrived.Sharon, Ross, Sven and Elka were wonderful hosts and did everything they could to ensure all the preparations, alongside the wedding went as smoothly as possible. They were unbelievably helpful when it came to all enquiries and we loved how considerate they were when it came to the little touches to show how much they cared.A big thank you in particular to Elka who went out of her way to research and prepare a traditional Chinese breakfast of congee for the wedding party (who were from China).Another big thank you to Sven who worked tirelessly from early morning until late night and made sure the grounds looked impeccable. Throughout the day he made sure leaves were raked and all staff and crew properly hydrated with drinks and took care of everyone when they were on their breaks - we couldn't have asked for better hospitality so thank you!We loved working with Deux Belettes and can't wait to go back to such a unique and stunning venue with a lovely team. Thank you Sharon and the team!

Extending our deepest gratitude to Sharon and Ross for their incredible hospitality during our stay. You went absolutely above and beyond anything we ever expected and left feeling like we had known you a long time. It was an absolute pleasure being able to spend that time with you and Deux Belettes.The property is just exquisite and Sharon knows how to whip up one incredible breakfast and cheese platter.We can’t wait for the next visit to Deux!!!

Heart Breaking - Horrible experience.My fiancé and I planned on getting married in Italy, but due to the COVID-19 our travel plans were not possible.We were absolutely delighted to find Deux Belettes, it was basically Europe but on home soil.We liaised back and fourth with Sharon - she told us our date was available. We decided to proceed with the booking even though we didn't visit the grounds in real life, because it honestly looked that good in pictures and a video tour we saw.Sharon sent through the t&c for us to sign.We were SO excited, we had locked in a photographer, caterer and fam & friends started looking for accom.After reading through the t&c we had a few general questionsit stated charges/payments can change at any time once signed, that we needed to purchase public liability insurance to cover up to 10mil, that the event we plan can be cancelled at any time due to unforeseen circumstances, children for immediate family need to use the creche.We generally just wanted Sharon to elaborate on those points, we sent her a lovely email, saying how excited we were, for her to send her payment details so we could get the ball rolling and plan our dream day, and if she could please elaborate on those points before we sign as we simply just has some misunderstanding, wished her a happy Easter and patiently awaited her reply.At this point I have never experienced such unprofessional bizarre service. She simply replied saying that she wanted us to look elsewhere as we had issues with the terms and conditions.We were shocked and heartbroken. I emailed her and she didn't respond, I emailed again, no response, she finally replied saying we could now not proceed due to the COVID-19 she is only allowing current brides to choose dates for next year who have had to postpone. None of this was making sense as she previously told us to let her know ASAP about the date we wanted, which we did!We ended up calling her, thinking sometimes communication can be lost via email.She was extremely rude, raising her voice anytime my fiancé spoke so her voice could only be heard. She proceeded to tell us we are untrustworthy people because we asked questions regarding the t&c. and would not allow us to proceed with our booking.Considering how much money our families are contributing to our big day, we thought it was a responsible thing to clarify anything we didn't understand.Honestly after looking through these reviews I feel relief we did not go forward with Deux Belettes. To be made feel guilty/stupid for asking general questions is just unprofessional and completely unfair.Such a shame such a stunning venue is run like this.

I am writing this review as information for anyone considering a wedding at Deux Belettes. I found Sharon and Ross very helpful and we had no problems communicating and organising our wedding. Initially hearing the ‘price’ of holding a wedding at Deux Belettes I was a little taken back as it seems a bit pricey comparatively to other venues.I can honestly say that every penny was worth it. The venue is stunning. We had a wedding party of only 50 and it was perfect and better than I could of ever imagined. There is the price of the venue itself, plus approximately $2000 of extra hireable items such as lighting, chandeliers etc which are optional and then hiring of both the bridal suite and also room for bridal party to get ready in which is about $650 combined. The rooms are large and beautiful. The groomsman have the luxurious granary to get ready in prior to the ceremony and its just gorgeous and photographs as if you are actually in France.If you are wanting an exclusive french garden villa vibe this really is your venue. The highlight was the dinner party under the beautiful arches. I feel so privileged we were blessed with beautiful weather and even better suppliers. I would like to especially thank Alstonville Florest for her absolutely perfectly executed flowers from her planned brief and also EatDrink Catering as the food and service was exceptional.The only one negative. I would not recommend the venue’s recommended planner Hayley Cravigan and as you are required a planner for this venue my personal experience was very unpleasant and unprofessional leading upto the wedding. I have never felt so disappointed as the rest of our suppliers were incredible. I am just warning future Brides as I know there are much more personable planners in the Byron Bay precinct. I was let down numerous times and told that my ‘custom poor mans package’ did not include basically anything than styling on the day. $2000 is alot of money to have basically the poorest customer service I have EVER received for anything in my life. Beware.
