Fabulous small museum showing different aspects of life in the area.Interesting videos on life in Orange in the 1920s, and first nations people talking about their lives.Well worth a visit. There's a big car park behind the museum.Good cafe.

If you come to Orange and don't know anything, come down to the information centre. They give you a map and help you with all the places to visit, stay and go about. The staff are very helpful and it was open on the weekend too.

As soon as you enter the main door you will first see the information ℹ️ centre where you can get information about the area and places you can visit.Past that, there is the museum. There are variety of items present from 19th and 20th century. Some of the artefacts belong to people that lived in Western Australia.

When we visited in June 2022, there was a lovely interactive exhibit by James Gulliver Hancock and it was whimsical, interesting and we'll thought out. I think both adults and children can enjoy the exhibit. The exhibits change regularly, so make sure to visit often. Also don't miss out on the very nice orange regional gallery next door

Small museum but good for some local history. Also had a great interactive exhibit on cities while we were there, ideal for younger kids under 8 years. Nice gift shop with lots of local arts and crafts.

A great exhibition at the moment featuring some amazing artists like Sophie Lamperts exhibition titled “Anon” with intricate soft sculptures paying homage to female artist’s & writers who had their name removed from their work with “Anonymous” inserted in its place &Laurence Edwards “A Gathering of Uncertainties” featuring some amazing bronze sculptures detailing the metamorphosis of form & matter that governs the lost wax process.

It's a really nice little museum with some nice objects. A good exhibition about the internment of Germans in Orange. The museum itself doesn't present a historical narrative which I guess I was looking for.Anyway, nice staff and nice facilities. Free to enter.
