Dogaholics Dog Training and Behaviour Services

We loved Dogaholics for puppy training. Sessions were personalised to our needs, concerns and questions. Everything was research based and well thought out. With our previous dog we only did puppy training through a vet, but this was well worth the investment.

I saw Eve over 6 months ago for a behaviour consultation. I still feel really sad how pointless it was for such an incredibly large amount of money. She told me the best thing to with my reactive dog was to keep him away from triggers for 6 months so his cortisol would drop back to normal. I think it was around 300 dollars for her to suggest this. We did not follow her advice and have been doing group classes for reactive dogs. My dog is doing so much better, and thank God we have been out in the world the last 6 months. Try someone else.

Eve’s advice and training ideas to help our dog through his fear of other dogs was so helpful. She gave us different training ideas that we hadn’t thought of and really considered what we had done in the past to help him. She highlighted other ways that we could help support him and to understand his past help him to react less fearfully when in the vicinity of other dogs. We have seen a definite improvement since incorporating her suggestions.In our session, she was a clear communicator, respectful and kind. She prioritised our dog and helped us to see things from his perspective so we could better help him through situations and different approaches that we would have never considered without her help. It has made walks with him so much easier and he seems to feel a lot more calm overall.I really appreciated Eve’s approach and we will definitely be back to Dogaholics when we need more assistance with our current, or future dogs. Thank you so much Eve, you are amazing at what you do.

Eve has been fantastic in helping us train our dog Arlo as a therapy dog. She is very knowledgeable and has been able work on solutions for training that suit our dog best.

I have an Airedale Terrier called Alfred who is very gentle at home and with small dogs but could become aggressive with large wolf like dogs. (Airedales were originally bred by farmers in Yorkshire to protect sheep and their lambs from wolves.)Nothing I tried seem to work. Walking Alfred was a nightmare.Eve took my dog for a walk and tested his reactions to other dogs.She gave me two simple strategies which have improved my dog's behaviour by 99%. He is still not completely perfect. I can't let him off his lead in a dog park, but walking him now is a pleasure, not a pain.I am very grateful to Eve.She is calm, considered and helpful - with a wonderful understanding of dog psychology. I am sincerely grateful to her for the improvement in my dog's behaviour.
