Although Bowden's Discount Pharmacy at Port Kembla is a modern pharmacy which will happily dispense E-scripts, Webster Packs and can give you a Flu-vax, when it comes to service, it's very much an old school type of chemist shop, unlike some huge, soul-less mall pharmacies. Excellent friendly service - good range of products (medical and other common household items). Open a little longer than average pharmacy, which can be very handy. Many script items - cheaper than other places. Ample parking (on street and around the back), worth the drive.

Had my scripts faxed here and told they were not there rang the medical and told they were sent a week ago the chemists here are not good people and seem to enjoy the suffering of people. Have contacted the watchdog and put in a complaint for not providing appropriate services.

Staff extremely rude, bordering on abusive. Very unprofessional. They are also writing fake reviews to bolster ratings. There are three much better chemists four minutes down the road in Warrawong, who have professional and friendly staff. I encourage you to go to one of them rather than support this chemist." Any reviews on here from the Barsoums are reviews BY THE OWNERS. I support small businesses especially during these difficult times and would love to support my local chemist but after having been abused twice I will never set foot in this place again."

We have been getting our dog’s medicine from here for the past two years. The pharmacy was happy to work with my vet, even though the medication needs to be ordered in. We have recently moved away but have kept coming to the pharmacy because they have been great to deal with. Recently there was a delay with the order delivery and I couldn’t make the trip twice due to work (and being pregnant, the car trip makes me quite ill). The pharmacist very kindly dropped it off on his way home. I have also observed them through lockdown offering a lot of genuine care to their customers and the local community. Highly recommend.

Wonderful pharmacy!! Excellent customer service! Whenever i’m in need of anything the staff at Bowden’s are there to help. During my 7 day isolation period I was able to make several telephone orders and have everything delivered same day! Thank you so much to Hany and the wonderful ladies at Bowden’s! Best pharmacy in the Illawarra
