Cute cottage on a lovely property. Closer to town & nice friendly owner.

Woodend Cottage was clean comfortable and so warm and cosy with the coonara. It was well stocked with everything you may need. Beds were very comfortable . We stayed there October 25th -28th for a wedding at Mt. Macedon winery , it was an easy drive to drive to the wedding . Woodend was 5 mins by car yet the cottage and surrounds were so quiet and peaceful just what we needed for a relaxing weekend away. Cassius was quick to respond to any questions about booking check in check out etc a very friendly host. I’m Happy to recommend this accomodation. Anne Round

I booked my family here for my wedding that was close by. They had the most excellent time and in fact I got a text saying that they never wanted to leave! The owners are absolutely amazing and I got to hear all about their Lady Gaga stories. Thank you for taking such good care of my family. The house is absolutely amazing and beautiful and I can't wait to return to experience it for myself!

Stayed here and it’s just awesome! Had a romantic weekend and all the extra detail made it feel special. the gardens are absolutely stunning, such attention to detail. The view of the galaxy and stars at night while listening to the frogs in a nearby dam just blew us away!

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend at Woodend Cottage. The accommodation was great; relaxing and peaceful. Everything we needed was right there in the cottage...great bath! The location was so close to the Woodend township, we loved the cafes and the Sunday market. Thanks for a wonderful weekend escape. Deb

We were fortunate enough to spend nine wonderful nights at the 'Wooden Cottage' in March 2013. My husband, son and my parents all got to experience the magic of this beautiful place. Words can not express how magical this place is. Totally self-sufficient, the pantry is stocked with food, numerous teas, fresh farm eggs, cereals, etc not to mention a bread machine. Very modern kitchen with the charm of yesteryear. The handmade kitchen basin is gorgeous.Very spacious, with four adults and one busy 4 year. With two large baskets packed with games. If the outdoors are not to your liking. So many sounds and sights to take in. Our son loved making up stories on how the trike got up the tree!Our four year old, loved greeting both Eric and Jason the friendly Alpaca's, not to mention collecting apples and carrots for Ruby the pig daily. We weren't able to spot Koori the Kola, but were blessed to spot six Black Crested Cockatoos.Alf was very knowledgeable, passionate and helpful in recommending places to visit.The Wooden Cottage in Woodend is a true gem and a must stay. I would most certainly recommend this place and if we were to ever return to Woodend would certainly want to stay here again. Truly heaven.

We stayed for a weekend at Woodend Cottage and had a cosy and luxury stay. The cottage was beautiful with a very quaint French Country style. We loved the privacy of the cottage and gorgeous garden.

We booked it for a staff mamber as a gift he stated the cottage was not as well maintained and was shabby. He went to do a BBQ and it was covered in rat droppings and whatnot, no gas etc. just looked like the effort which was obviously put in previously was not put in for his visit.

Woodend Cottage is a wonderful place to stay! Comfortable beds, soft ,clean & good quality linen & plenty of brekkie provisions, including lots of fresh eggs to last for your whole stay. Cassius was really flexible with check in & check out times & provided loads of wood for the Coonara heater. The grounds are full of eclectic furniture and have plenty of room for our Westie to enjoy as well as being safe so that we dont have to worry about her safety. The cherry blossom trees make for great photo opportunities and the closeness of this property to Woodend and other close areas make this a perfect place to stay.
