Lucky to get one star. I have never experienced incompetence to the levels of GCT in my life.I went to GCT for assistance in closing down my SMSF as well a personal annual Tax.After the initial change over period from my previous accountant I was advised to wait until after the next financial year to close the SMSF out. After first tax period was complete no action was taken. Countless emails with no reply, follow up phone calls with no action. I feel for Maria on the end of the phone having to deal with how frustrated I was. To her credit she was very calm, I'm not sure if that's because it was common for people to be so frustrated on the phone when dealing with GCT?I later realised when no action was being taken that the $230 per month fee was a good reason for them to string me along whilst doing nothing.After cutting ties with GCT they continued to Bill me. Finally they stopped billing me but there was still another trick up their sleeve..... They withheld ASIC fees which was still being sent to their office instead of my home address.Months later I get an invoice again for their services out of the blue. Poor Maria on the end of another painful phonecall...Finally today I received 2 bills with the maximum late fees totally over $650 thanks to GCT finally removing their address and the bill finding its way to my home address. Incompetent and embarrassing to live on the same continent as this business.
