Ankara Youth Camp

the bathrooms are disgusting; whenever you wake up there are mozzies all over and it is absolutely nasty. Worst experience of camp i had ever had.

Lovely place for young rowers. Good facilities. Very spectacular views around.

One of the best places for a camp of any kind! Have been here several times for school camps, church youth camps, and larger church camps - and loved it every time!There are canoes available to use as well as life jackets (although you need to bring PFD’s for very small children). Canoeing, swimming, and jumping off the pontoon are all awesome experiences at this campsite. As well as the towering cliffs opposite the grass area.There’s also several balls you can use and a large basketball court for activities.The dining hall, kitchen, and washing up area are great for camps. The dorms are spacious and there are handy compartments for luggage. There are a few “leader” dorms with double beds. The mattresses in the single bed rooms are quite hard, but not unbearable.There’s a large room with a stage at the front and table tennis tables and side rooms for Sunday school/mothers. This room can be set up with chairs for a talk, or used for a games night, and much more.I definitely recommend this campsite!

Unsure as to why Ankara camp has a high ratingUsed to school camps and youth camps this place desperately needs to maintenance!Black mould and bug infestationsDust and dirty who knows if this place has been properly cleaned especially with COVIDThe only nice thing I can say is that it’s in a nice position on the river

This is a beautiful campsite on the river. I've been here for youth camps before and its always a wonderful experience. There's a deli about 5 mins walk from the campsite that has great hot chips. The owners are lovely and are very chilled. 100% recommend this place.

Nice to place to camp with group of families

Great place! had a School camp here, It was amazing! just a few things that were a bit off put, There was mould in the Bathroom, But everything else was fabulous! would recommend for Teachers looking for a fun, beautiful, and nice school camp! PS: The view of the steep incline is beautiful!

I went with my school and it was disgusting I got bit by a spider and I had to clean the dirty dishes th chicken was uncooked and the rooms had bugs and void underneath I was sick and really upset when I came home from what I had gone though there and also there was no service anywere and I could not call my mum and tell her if I was ok. I found a bug wing in my salad and altogether it was a horrible experience. Do not recommend not anyoneI was excited to go but ended up crying because I had such a bad experience
