Company's main principle is slow motion work. As much as slow, that much more money they charge.

I have had a bad experience with this company. I had a job at Mount Gravatt, so I searched closest companies. Then Surf City Crane came out, I called and booked a truck for the following day. I was thinking the truck was coming from Belmont. After job done I shocked when I saw the invoice. The company has 2 branches,  main branch is in Gold Coast,  the other one is like fake branch which doesn't have sign or office. Just there are some small vehicle and machines and broken machines. The worse thing you are expecting the truck from the closest branch. Even the truck's coming time and arriving their branch time is around 3 hours. You are thinking 15 mins coming from Belmont to Mount Gravatt, but they are charging 3 hours. 1 hour 150 +Gst , 3 hours 450 + Gst, they already charging this amount even they haven't started the job. Be aware of this company, if there is no other option,  just talk and ask everything.

I made a big mistake and they did one job for me. Driver was not professional, the company not responsive. for normal people's 1 hour job for him at least 3 hours. I didn't see this type people who is playing the time, when he is working before.After he load the truck he spent 1 hour around the truck. If you don't have any choice and you have more money to spend, you can work this company. Before working this company be sure there no other choice. I can describe their job for me, like professional robbery. If you decided to work with them prepare at least 2 or 3 more staff for help them otherwise they can't finish in one day.

Avoid, their customer service and communication is shocking and there are so many better options. Booked a very simple boat lift on a hardstand about 4weeks in advance and got quoted the amount (hourly rate and minimum charge hours) over the phone, and wrote these down in my diary. They said they’d “send someone out to take a look at the lift” because it was a boat on a hardstand. A new guy inspected the lift, and I didn’t hear much after that until some time later, the day before the lift when I got a text message with a new quote and new rates, about double what I was originally quoted verbally! They also doubled the amount of people they “needed” and increased the minimum hours. Because I questioned second quote, without notice they cancelled the job on me. Being the day beforehand I had no other alternative options so I rang their operations manager pleading to still do the lift with no option but to pay the exorbitant amount, which he agreed to but he would “try to fit me in” which means it was never booked in the first place. On the morning of the lift I received a third quote!!! via email further increasing the cost substantially which was just ridiculous and I couldn’t pay such an extreme amount. So I’m without a crane when I organised 4 weeks in advance haha it’s almost comedic!
