I just ordered chicken 65 biryani worth of 19$ but there was literally 3 pieces of chicken in it. It looks like it was scrap left on the pot.

This is one of the authentic Indian cuisine restaurants in Melbourne, if not only. Must try smokey flavored Baingan ka Bharta, Dal Makhani, sizzling juicy Lamb Cutlets and Tandoori chicken....Their service is prompt and taste is what you expect from a good Dhaba style prep. Keep up the good work!..

First time eating here it was very tasty and food was made very nicely and presented with care. Table service was great too, considering it was a busy night, valentines day, Also the ambience was nice. Reasonably priced!! Authentic cuisine .... would definitely come again. Just a couple of tips the yoghurt for raita and Lassi should be served at colder temperature and pani puri could do with a little more filling inside. We ordered tandoori prawn,Pani puri,goat biryani and Malai Kofta,must try!! thank you very much to the staff at Indian Essence

I ordered my takeaway meal online for 6 people around 7pm. The process was very easy and all food was prepared within 40mins. I was extremely impressed with the quality of food I ordered. It was tasty authentic Indian food. I will definitely order again and highly recommend.

I loved the Indian hit songs that were played on the screen as we were waiting for our dinner. I could come here to sit and have tea and just watch the clips, but of course this is a restaurant. Food was very good. Tender, fresh, aromatic, tasty. The waitress asked how spicy we wanted our meal to be. Mild was perfect and as expected.

First time here and it was an excellent meal overall - well definitely be returning in the future. Each item was beautifully cooked and flavourful, balancing the spice and heat nicely and all the meat dishes were incredibly tender. An absolute gem of Glenroy!

Beautiful place. Food was decent. Can't complain. Plenty of takeaway orders in a weekday was surprising. They were busy so must be popular joint for locals.

We frequently order from this restaurant as each dish truly has Indian essence to it.Last weekend we organised our son's first birthday in the restaurant with buffet which was reasonably priced.Every dish was cooked perfectly and was so so delicious. All the guests complimented the food.Highly recommended this restaurant for Indian food.
