Cute little restaurant with friendly service. We came in for a quick dinner before a show and the service was attentive and the food came out quickly. It was delicious! We ordered two meals to share and they were both flavoursome and very enjoyable. Would definitely come back!

It is my first time in a Colombian restaurant in Melbourne and it was amazing, during the night we had live music , good prices, pork belly was pretty well, la paella was nice but it was kinda dry but taste was delicious.

Celebrated Father's Day early tonight with a beautiful meal at La Tonada in Carlton North. Service was warm and friendly, they were knowledgeable and were quick to refund the deposit I made to secure our group booking of 6.Someone I know from work recommended this Latin American restaurant to me, it opened during the pandemic and did well to serve up beautiful meals during lockdown for the locals.The paellas were definitely the stand out dishes here, hard to find a good paella in Melbourne, the ones here definitely are up there for me!I'll definitely come back just for the paellas, yucca chips, empanadas and their signature dessert dish.Book in advance, it's a small restaurant. Could probably fit 20-30 people inside, out the front and in their rear courtyard. Or grab some take away and enjoy it at the park across the road.

Amazing food! My Colombian husband approves! Came here to celebrate his birthday with our family and the vibes were great, everyone loved their food - big portions too. Catered for my vegans as well. The staff were so lovely and even brought out my husband’s cake with a candle and played happy birthday. Would definitely come back :)

Visited Sunday night in October 2022. I'm always sceptical when a restaurant has a 4.7 or higher rating, but for anyone reading this, I can assure you this place is the real deal. My taste buds aren't exactly high class and I'm more a fan of hearty meals than fancy ones so there's some items I don't understand or don't appreciate on this menu. That's more me than the taste, ingredients or chef though. Croquettes of the day wasn't good for me. Beef epanadas are definitely a second to the cheese and guava ones (empanadas de bocadillo). Those were AMAZING (yes, all caps). Desserts, Wow. Paella is HUGE and they definitely don't skimp on ingredients. Favourite was the langostinos en salsa de maracuya y tamarindo acompanado de arroz negrito. Basically it's squid and prawns in a sweet sauce with caramelised coconut rice so good you'll forget where you are for a moment. This place is a MUST if you're tired of whatever you normally eat and want to try something new. We didn't get to try the pork or beef but we did see them go by as they headed off to another table and I have to say, DAMN they looked delicious. I'll be back!!!

Really friendly staff, and wonderful vibe to this little corner restaurant. We ordered the mixed empanadas, the bitter chocolate beef and the slow cooked mango chicken.The winner of the day was the beef. Cooked perfectly and the bitter chocolate sauce was delicious.The chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned but the sides seemed not to complement the chicken. The plantain was nice but the croquet and watermelon was an odd choice.The empanadas were great. Best two were the chicken and the cheese (without the guava). The best sauce was the spicy salsa-ish dipping sauce.We'll definitely be back and bring friends. To try the other dishes they have on offer as we were looking at all the other patrons dishes with hungry eyes.

Best Colombian restaurant in the the town. Taste was super good and staff was amazing and helpful with beautiful smile on their faces.I’ll definitely visit again soon.Highly recommended this beautiful place.

This restaurant is very popular within the Colombian community. I was so excited to try it after many people recommended me this place. I can’t be happier with the experience. Service was great, super friendly staff, the food was super tasty and very traditional. Highly recommend empanadas and patacones. I am vegetarian and I tried the vegetarian paella which was amazing.5 stars for the food presentation.
