Medowie Christian School

I have been involved with this great school for 12 years, since my oldest son started there in 2010. My 3rd and youngest son attends there now. All 3 boys love the school and have alot of memories of their experiences there. A wonderful school that I would recommend to anyone:)

We love Medowie Christian School! The teachers are passionate about seeing their students succeed. They love sharing moments of pride they see within our children – both behaviours and achievements; and they know the importance of getting the parents involved should an issue arise, and do it in a very respectful, approachable manner. Our children have been attending since kindergarten and have been nurtured and guided the whole way through. I can't recommend our school enough. Thank you to our Principal, Simon Herd for leading the school in the Christ like way that a you have.

Since arriving from the UK Medowie Christian School has been a fantastic support to our family. Not only does the school provide an excellent education which values each student as an individual, the school is also a beautiful Christ centered community. All three of my children have grown in confidence since attending and love going to school each day. The school has a great defence mentor, that supports not just the children but the whole family especially through times of resettlement and deployment, which really was great especially when we first arrived . For us as parents Medowie Christian School has it all, a great education, sporting opportunities, caring staff and a campus which provides learning opportunities for children from prep right through to high school, we couldn't ask for more.

The progress my son has made in just one year at this school is incredible. The staff are amazing and so caring, honestly couldn’t be happier - also my son FINALLY loves going to school which I never thought would be possible!

We have been at the school since 2017, I have 2 children that attend MCS. The support we have received while being part of the school community and a Defence family has always been amazing. My kids are looked after and supported every time their dad deploys. I make their teachers and the Defence mentor staff aware when their dad is away, it never matters how long his trips are. They have nurtured my kids through the tough days and the good days. Their support doesn’t just stop with my kids they also check in with me to see how we are coping as a family and always happy for a cuppa and a chat.

We are loving our experience at MCS and the kids really enjoy the environment. The energy from the teacher and staff is always so uplifting and positive and it is very much a community vibe. I love that they offer sport and creative choices in school hours to make it easier for parents so they do not have to do as much running around.The values they are teaching the children are priceless and set them up to be great human beings.I highly recommend MCS to families looking for a school that will allow your child to blossom and grow without taking away their individuality.

My son loves the school. It's such a supportive place where the teachers and staff make you feel so welcome and part of the community.

Thank you to Medowie C school for your wonderful Grandparent’s day. Your teachers were most welcoming, stopping for a chat even though they didn’t teach our Grandson Connor. The opportunity to watch Frozen with so many other proud Grandparents was appreciated. Best decision we could have made!!!Our family transferred our year 7 son to MCS in late 2021 as the we found local public high school to be unsuitable. As an anxious child he has made such a remarkable transition. It is an inviting, calm supportive and happy school that has really welcomed us in. Also as a ADF family I highly recommend MCS’s Defence Support Mentor as she is second to none!! My son has made lovely friends so easily and the extra support from the learning support staff is above and beyond!

Our daughter has attended MCS for 2 years and we couldn't be happier. The school has a close knit community and encourages parent involvement and feedback. All the staff from the teachers, receptionists and defence coordinator are truely caring, supportive and attentive. The defence coordinator regularly has activities organised for the kids inside and outside of school, offers the kids and parents support from a chat and cuppa to providing meals when a parent is away from home. The school recently put on several performances of Frozen junior that had the whole school involved and was such a marvellous opportunity for the kids. We are grateful our daughter can attend such a wonderful school.
