Thanks to Emma at SLABS by design we have the most beautiful table I am sure we will have for many years to come. It exceeded all of our expectations. Emma was very professional in all her dealings, keeping us up to date with progress and delivery. Highly recommend!

We needed a new dining table to match our Eames chairs and after a careful Google search we found the only design that really captured our modern design spirit - SLABS, based in Mosman, NSW. Other designer tables just didn't have the wow factor we were looking for. SLABS certainly does, and we chose the London design table. Emma and her team made our dream come true with our custom-made table with powder-coated black base and Fossil concrete (sealant treated) top. We were sent samples of the colours available to match in with our home decor. Once we had the measurements we needed, the process of ordering was a breeze. We now have the most gorgeous table - better than imagined and can't wait to have guests over. When we need a new piece of furniture, we will be looking at SLABS again for inspiration. Thanks Emma!

Emma was an absolute pleasure to deal with over the year that she helped me design a dining table to go in my new dining room. I could not be happier with the finished product. It is beautiful. I can't recommend SLABS highly enough.

After spending a not so insignificant amount of money on a table from Slabs By Design we're left with a sour taste in our mouths. After the first time that the table was delivered and installed, we sat down and immediately realised that the top sat too high for a dining table. You'd think that this would be something that would be checked and double checked before delivering a 150kg+ slab of marble which took a small crane to get off the truck and 6 men to install?After liaising with Slabs By Design and determining where the issue was, the installers were scheduled to come back a few weeks later to remove the marble top and take it away to get the bottom milled out so that it sat at the correct height. During that waiting period, my wife gave birth and in the first few days back from the hospital they came back to remove and then reinstall the top. As you could imagine, running on minimal sleep and with a crying baby, we were not in a state nor mood to thoroughly check the table as we didn't think it would be an issue - this was our mistake for sure.A few weeks after the reinstallation, we found a small chip on an edge of the table that exactly corresponded to where the table was loaded onto the trolley used to move the top in. I double checked the pictures that at the time I proudly took on the day of the second delivery and could clearly see that the damage was already there and not something caused by us since - I'm not here to try to scam anyone into fixing damage that we caused.Slabs By Design has since said that we needed to check the table thoroughly before the installers left, and they will not take any responsibility for damage reported after the fact. It would've been good to know that beforehand - useless information now.Anyway, the table is beautiful but we're now in for another quoted ~$500 to get it repaired from the company that Slabs recommended to us.As a side note, on the way out, the installers ran their trolley into our wall which left a nice little dent in our brand new house that we now have to repair and paint - where should I send the bill, Emma?TLDR; An amazingly beautiful table, with terribly lacking pre-delivery QC and so-so post sales service. 2 stars because we still love the table even though it is damaged.

Emma was a pleasure to deal with and delivered on all her promises.We were kept updated and she also created a table that was not considered to be the normal and made sure we also had the right chairs to match our table.Her attention to detail made sure that we were able to fit 12 people comfortably. I had a clear idea of what style I liked and she was able to provide an image of 4 designs before making our selection.We loved all of them to be honest !Emma took the time to come to our house measure up and give her suggestions and also showed us samples. It made the process very easy.We are very happy with our table and would definitely recommend slabs by design if you are after a quality bespoke table or piece of furniture.

Was looking for that perfect piece for a space newly renovated and Emma delivered with a table that was beyond our expectations with a piece that was not only exact to the design brief but with beautiful detail that was added to it that makes the table exceptional. Emma was great to work with excellent understanding of aesthetic design and with a clear grasp of the way furniture and space interacts and how to optimise that interaction. Attention to detail including a site visit to ensure all the right choices were made made was all part of an excellent operation at Slabs by Design. We enjoy the table every day thanks Emma.

We love our concrete table which creates a centrepiece for our family room. Thank you so much Emma! You’ve been such a help and have seriously transformed our balcony space. Absolutely chuffed with the outcome! Throughout the whole process Emma was so helpful from start to finish...firstly coming round the house and giving us suggestions around style, size and colour of our table. We ended up going with a round cooper dining table which has turned out to be a great fit for the space. The colour and finish on the concrete is beautiful and the whole service including delivery was seamless. Plus she gave great advice on chairs.
