Huntly Streamside Reserve
Wow, what a great camp area so close to Bendigo city. The reserve is huge, flat and youll be spoilt for choice. Caters for every camp senario. Room for groups. Easy all weather access. A real gem

Serendipitous AF. Tranquility on fleek! But beware when approaching 'The Fern Of Destiny', as PillowPants the troll will try to molest you!! See attached pic of PillowPants...

Lush and green this winter with crystal clear flowing streams. Beautiful on a sunny day if you don't mind the a rough track.

Huntly Streamside Reserve is a significant woodland remnant within a largely cleared floodplain. A rapid increase in housing developments through Epsom and Huntly has compounded the loss of native vegetation and connectivity. Project activities include community plantings, weed & rabbit control, educational activities, nestbox installation & monitoring Northern Bendigo Landcare Group (NBLG) has the support of Parks Victoria, local primary schools, Bendigo TAFE Conservation & Land Management and other community groups.Together with these groups NBLG is restoring highly degraded Creekline Grassy Woodland (Goldfields) Community biolink along Bendigo Creek. The Biolink will perform a vital role in conserving threatened species by assisting their dispersion/movement & will also act as a refuge during prolonged droughts likely to be exacerbated by climate change

Fire hazard, needs to be treated for what it is. What ever happened to The good neighbour project. Parks Vic need to do a lot better and do the right thing for the people of Huntly. LW.
