APPALLING. On 3 August I was the successful bidder for an auction lot. I transferred $2,300 immediately. The item never showed up. After 2 weeks of chasing the item from Lloyd’s I was told that unfortunately the item “could not be supplied.” No reason was given. And no attempt was made by Lloyd’s to actually advise me of this in the first place. It would be reasonable to expect an immediate refund considering Lloyd’s was the party who had failed to fulfil their contractual obligations. However, it is now 17 September and after numerous phone calls and emails to Lloyd’s, and promises by Lloyd’s that the matter has been escalated (on 3 separate occasions), I am still without my refund. Absolutely disgraceful. Still chasing my money. Will never use Lloyd’s again. Do not recommend.

I recently held an auction with Lloyds auction house. I cannot believe how wonderful and caring Mark Eddington was. He helped me in every manner possible. I could not have asked for a better person to handle my father‘s deceased items. He treated us with respect and honesty, and was very helpful. Some items that I thought would never sell, well, let me tell you, they sure did. But, just like Mark said they would. If ever you are in doubt about holding an auction or selling an item, please contact Mark at Lloyds auctions, and he will be more than helpful, to you. It was because of Mark that my auction was so successful. Also his communication skills and professionalism in this field is remarkable. Mark went above and beyond his care of Duty. And I truly do appreciate all of his time and effort into turning my father’s items into not only cash, but seeing that they were sold to people that appreciate them as much as my father did.

They sold a car to me with money owing on it still. Can’t even get it rego ! You call them /send emails. And they don’t reply. Costing me $$$$ while I wait on them.Next time just go to pickles heaps better service.

I bought some items about two months ago. One of these items was a mattress. When I went there to pick them up, two days after winning the bid, they couldn't find this mattress. So, they said they would reimburse my $399 paid on that. After sending a lot of emails a month later, they replied saying that the money would be in my account in 28 days. Well, it's been almost 10 days since the due date of the payment. I haven't seen my money yet and they haven't replied to my emails. I feel stolen.

Lloyds a great example of how NOT to do business!I was the winning bidder on a Rolling Stones 9 x CD collection from Lloyds Auctions in October 2022. I paid approximately $120 for it. When it arrived I was shocked to see the CD cases were all empty (surely they must have known). I contacted them immediately & they promised a full refund which didn't happen until late February when I finally got Queensland Civil & Administrative Tribunal [QCAT] involved. Even though I had to pay an application fee I was happy to make Lloyds eventually pay up. I can't believe they would rather damage their already extremely poor reputation & lose a previously regular customer for just $120. They are the worst company in this country, no exceptions. Avoid them at all costs. FYI. You don't need to be a QLD resident to use QCAT.
