I have been working with Lee and the team at 4Design for a little over a year now. I highly recommend their services to anyone seeking stylish, thoughtful and functional product design.As a self-funded, one woman start-up, launching into the complex design process was very daunting and truth be told, I made some big mistakes. The first was initially trusting another, slick Silicone Valley, product design company who put a lot of energy into their own marketing but ultimately not enough into their design offering. It was a bruising and costly experience and one that nearly derailed my aspirations completely. With one last bit of energy, I reached out to 4Design in an attempt to salvage what was left of my ideas and trust, they have not disappointed me. Lee immediately understood my needs and reassured me that they could help me to work through the design process.I suspected that although my product looked like a very simple concept, there would be a disproportionate amount of work required to ensure that it not only looked great but actually functioned as intended. Unlike the first company I dealt with, Lee instinctively understood this. He immediately honed in on the areas where he could foresee potential hurdles and set to work solving them. He has a remarkable mind for visualizing and problem solving.The process has been very collaborative and even my most crazy ideas were considered and expanded upon. We have been working remotely via Skype due to me living in USA but it has not stopped our full and interactive development sessions. The project has evolved exponentially from where we started and I can honestly say that what we have now is something that I could not have imagined in my wildest dreams. It is beautiful!It is not until you have worked with a true professional that you realise how much thought goes into every day products that we take for granted.
