Kookai

It's disillusioning to see that one of the more classier stores are able to shun the asian community when it comes down to having excuse because of COVID19. Not once, when I entered the store, despite needing assistance, was I greeted or assisted respectfully despite every and all other non-asian customers before and after me having been served at their every whim. It's either because I look young or I'm asian but either way, one can't deny it is clear discrimination. Not only that, when I walked by a sale assistant, she had glared at me rudely as if my presence was somehow offensive to her. It's not comforting to see either that when another asian mother and her daughter walked in through the store and had asked for help on finding the size of a clothing piece, the sales assistants had responded with such rudeness and covertly hostile responses that it was heartbreaking to witness. The discriminatory actions are clear and through the significant discrepancies of how Kookai Parramatta is able to treat its caucasian customers and people of colour, it is disappointing to see that such a store could partake in such racism and its narratives. For the better of society, the least the company could do is train its staff to respectfully serve ethnic groups.

Love the girls here!! Always so kind and willing to genuinely help. My last encounter was so pleasant with a girl named Sarah who helped my little sister find a dress for my engagement party. She was a breath of fresh air as I've had some negative experiences in other Kookai stores. Will definitely be back to the parramatta store

Very disappointing. No classy at all.

Truly such a horrible experience when visiting this store. The sales assistants make it a point that If you do not look or act like them they will not serve you or even acknowledge you! A friend and I visited this store recently and we were blatantly ignored and proactively avoided to a point where I tried approaching a group of sales assistants near the counter and not only did they look at me rudely they walked away and dispersed.Due to my consistent bad experience I have personally stopped shopping with the brand. Kookai it’s 2022, do better and train your staff with the appropriate customer service etiquette.

Staff member was not friendly at all.. compares to Sydney city store, parramatta kookai has no customer service at all .. not to everyone but at least the lady at the fitting room area today, whenever query sth she just gives you short answer with RBF then walk away.. luckily parramatta store is not my regular visit one but you guys really should have learn from Sydney city store staff member ...

Staff went above and beyond for me today. I came in to exchange an item I purchased online and the sales assistant got me a few different sizes out back and patiently waited for me to try them on etc. I had a great experience with all the staff members on today. Thanks girls!
