The Big Tree
It was such a privilege to be under such an incredible part of the Dja Dja Wurrung birthing tree. My friend and I, who are both women, were in AWE of how many women squatted and birthed their babies under the BIG, TWISTED limbs. Its branches are so beautiful and big.... hollows give space to the animals of the regions birds, possums, or whatever creatures are native to country

The big tree is an aborreal cathedral. A multicultural avian and animal metropolis. The big tree is a testament to the people who put their live and energy into saving it for their own and future generations. I live the big tree. We need more big trees.

What a stunning tree. The size is just mind blowing. The branches are bigger than large trees.Well worth a look. Hopefully it will be with us for many more years to come.

A tree so old it's branches have joined together. A beautiful spot to stop and break your drive with playground and public toilets.

It is listed as a tree of State significance on the National Trust's Register of Significant Trees of Victoria. Loved it! You have to hug a tree like this when you see it. It's between 500 and 1000 years old!

35 metre high red gum with plenty of Aboriginal historical significance. The tree has actually been grafted to and from itself by Aboriginal peoples and used as a maker. Home to native birds and fauna.

It is worth viewing, unbelievable history, just one giant of a tree, not in height, but in the lower part.

Absolutely brilliant. This is an Aboriginal Ring Tree. Look closely and you can see the backwards branch which is also fused to an upper branch. It was formed when this was just a sapling hundreds of years ago. Very rare to have living examples today.
