Lovely historical site and natural site in one. Despite a sometimes rough road and limited parking it'has a beautiful beach and easy toilet facilities. The view at a storm or in the rain even better.

Beautiful place. When you walk down the boat ramp, turn left and 50 metres away, one of the amazing kilns. I wish my tire was lower so I could have more of a play but that’s poor planning. The walking track (almost 1km can be precarious, especially with 4 year olds but she trooped on. We did the suggested 20m walk in 17. Simply stunning area.

Stunning coastline and interesting part of history. While the older kids played in the water, we wandered around. So much to see and learn. A great place for the kids to be adventurous.

Very historical limestone kilns that are quite well preserved. Learn of the history of this small community that was the centre of quick-lime production in the late 1800's.Spending Kids Inheritance" available on Amazon Kindle."

Great place for people of all ages. Kilns can be accessed by beach or above by a 1km walk. Allow 20-30mins. Great swimming, kayaking and history to learn. Keep an eye out of native animals lots of wallabies.

If the tide is in, their is a lot of walking up hill and over rocks, so take good walking shoes. Signage about the kilns are informative. The beach there is beautiful, shared with a boat ramp too, but not over crowded. Drop toilets. No food venues here, so bring your own.

Bay location means the water is a lot calmer than the bass strait facing beaches, toilet facilities nearby and multiple carparks. Was quite busy when we went despite poor weather, so I could imagine overcrowding is an issue in summer.Warning that the track had become extremely muddy after rain, so walking via the beach may be a better option when wet.

Wow this place has got one of the best beaches I have visited in Victoria. The water is so clear and when it is at low tide you can see the amazing rock formation and sealifes. Plenty of space for everybody. Only downside is during peak periods you will not be able to get a car park at the bottom. You got to park at the top of the Hill and walk down a steep walking track. The historic lime kiln is still here so you can have a look at it however you will not be able to enter in the mineshaft as it is closed off. It is nearly a 3hr plus drive from Melbourne, worth the drive if you are heading towards Wilson promontory NP. Peace out.✌
