Double Black Alpine

We cycled the Great Victorian Rail Trail during Easter 23, with accommodation, bike hire and luggage transport between towns organised by Sarah and Eddie of Double Black Alpine. I couldn't recommend DBA more highly. Sarah and Eddie were delightful, and bent over backwards to ensure we had a wonderful weekend, even remedying a couple of issues with the bikes (rented from a third party) which were rightly the responsibility of the bike hire company to resolve. In this regards Sarah and Eddie's service was absolutely first class, and we would not have had such a fantastic time if we had hired the bikes directly from the hire company, who's customer service ethos appears to be way below that of DBA.Sarah and Eddie were super friendly and gave fantastic tips and local information on the towns we travelled to. We were directed to some top class restaurants, which were especially appreciated after a day on the bikes.One tip.. if you are going to cycle the train line, consider hiring e-bikes. It's harder cycling than you might expect.

We contacted Sarah to assist with bike transfers on the rail trail. From the beginning Sarah was very friendly and helpful and also generous in providing information and guidance on the trails.The transfers organised were on time and comfortable in spacious Mercedes vans. Sarah was very warm and welcoming and her service set us up for a great day!Thanks so much Sarah, we highly recommend Double Alpine.

Absolutely amazing and makes going to the snow a dream. Sarah and her team were so professional and flexible and went above and beyond to provide an amazing service. You can tell that Sarah really cares about providing the best service, even beyond the transfer (e.g. hotel recommendations). The transport was very clean and easy. Great communication! I booked for 3 of us to get shuttled with bikes from Mirimbah to Mt Buller village after doing the Delatite River trail and there were no official shuttles running due to staff shortages. Fantastic service and price. Cannot recommend highly enough. Sarah the driver was helpful and kind and on time with water on hand. I would definitely use their company again.

This company provides the BEST service ever in Mount Buller. Sarah and Eddie are very professional, they care about their clients and they provide exceptional service from the booking process until the end.A company called SnowGum Express made us wait for 2 hours at Mirimbah car park until it was dark and we were very anxious. But I called Double Black and Eddie came in 20 minutes from the time we called them. They made us very comfortable and really saved our trip from a chaotic start.We left one of our phones in the car park and they went above and beyond by going to Mirimbah car park at night to search for our phone, to ensure we didn't drop it outside the car.Their vehicles are new, very comfortable, and their driving were amazing. They knew the mountain so well. They were also very punctual. When you book with this company, you will surely get your money's worth for the VIP service they provide to their clients.We cannot thank Sarah and Eddie enought for their kindness and dedication to their work. We will surely use their service again when we go back to Mt Buller.

Fantastic service. So easy and prompt to communicate with. They handled our large booking easily, and were there bright and early to meet us for our bike shuttle to Mansfield. Sarah was lovely and gave us a wonderful tour of the area on our drive. Would highly recommend using DBA!

Look no further than Double Black Alpine (DBA) to help you with all the logistics and bookings needed for a cycle trip on the Great Victorian Rail Trail! Sahra and Eddie took care of all the details, including booking some great hotels and accomodation, excellent places for dinner and transport between each of the stops along the way (over Easter 2023). Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for our hosts DBA. Even after we had booked, there was no problem adding another person to the booking who decided to come after we had booked. When one of our team needed to swap from bikes to an e-bike, DBA went beyond the call of duty to arrange this with the bike hire company, meet us at our first stop, and do the swap over (NB - even if you are an experienced cyclist, I highly recommend you get an e-bike, and bring padded cycle shorts!). Each morning we would get a text telling us about the day's ride ahead, including recommendations for places to have lunch and points of interest. These guys offer 'old school' gold standard service. Thanks Sarah and Eddie for making our 4 day trip such a memorable and treasured experience.

The team were fantastic- transported our family with great care and made our weekend ride so much better with a one way shuttle! Took great care of the bikes, we’re super responsive to our questions beforehand and just lovely people! Highly recommend using double black
