The people at Format were excellent, from start to completion. They were prompt to follow up anything even after lock up . Levi our building supervisor was fantastic. Had a building inspector check the home before handover and apart from a couple of very small items, these were seen to asap.

So far our experience has been disappointing. Service before sign up was great however, since settlement it has gone down hill. We were told all along that after settlement that approx 3 weeks before construction starts. We settled in may and had nothing happen until 26th of August. Since week 1 of September we have had a slab and nothing more. We got told once the slab is down things will happen quickly, now we are being told once the frame is up things will happen quickly!!! We are also being told they have no date for our frame yet. the WORSE thing is, we have to chase these people all the time for updates or answers, they Do NOT keep us in the loop what so ever and do not seem at all sorry that all the promises before settlement have been broken. I REALLY hope i can leave a better review as our build moves on but for now i am very disappointed.

Sales representative Terry seating in Gawler st, Northgate is very very rude. I went there 3 to 4 times & all the time he is very rude. Sounds like he is a resist. I am looking to buy house & he didn’t even answer single question in proper manner. I will never ever preferre to go back format homes and will not recomend anybody to see them.

After living 4 years in the home built by Format, I think I am in the position to comment. Apart from the delay in the building process, everything else had been great. The construction is of good quality, we are happy. We had direct access to the friendly boss which was comforting. Our customer service guy Isaac is commendable. Isaac is very responsive to our queries, never failed to answer our questions. Even 4 years now, he is still responding to our enquiries promptly! We appreciate. If we have a chance to build another house, we will use Format Homes again!

My husband Gregg and myself have dealt with Format Homes for well over 10 years both in business and personally.How time flies!!, we have found them to be very professional and courteous in our business relationship, and they provide an excellent service, highly recommend them for your next build.

Terrible company. Don’t be fooled by promises of customer service, they will do nothing more than legally required. Really poor communication, unless they want your money. We built and they washed their hands of us the moment they had our final payment. Every request took multiple phone calls to be actioned. I have had friends build at the same time as us and no one else had anywhere near the issues we did.

I had no idea what I was doing with my first development. I was put onto Format Homes by a work colleague and Im glad I went ahead with Format as they held my hand through the whole process. I have built 4 more investments and will only use Format Homes.

My husband and I have settled into our amazing new home built by Format Homes Pty Ltd. We originally chose you because we wanted steel frames, Thermaloc insulation and Hebel construction and your company does all 3. It was the best decision we ever made!From our very first meeting with Terry at Lightview, to the final walk through with Levi our foreman and handover with Isaac the whole experience was amazing, exciting and almost completely hassle free except for NBN cables being in the wrong location (not Format’s Fault) and some delays due to the weather (again not Format’s fault)As previously stated, our first contact with Format was with Terry our building consultant. My husband had roughly designed our dream retirement home but Terry made it a reality. His CAD drawings were amazing as he adapted my husband’s rough draft so that it fitted our block and complied with council regulations.At this stage we were still living in NSW so as you can imagine good communication was vital, Format for us excelled.After Terry we were introduced to Isaac who became our go to guy and Marina our selections liason. The selection process was fantastic, Format’s normal inclusions were of a very high standard and we both felt like kids in a candy store. Isaac and Marina were both very helpful, knowledgeable, professional and it was obvious they loved their job.All your suppliers, Beaumont Tiles, Clipsal, Carrera Kitchens, Smeg, Direct Interiors, Debney Distributors , J.J Stevenson and Discount City Carpets were all amazing to deal with and all were all extremely helpful.To get to speak with Isaac or anyone else we of course went through reception. Sophie, Megan and Lisa were always delightful to talk to and were always very obliging.The next stage of our amazing experience was the build itself. During this process we had two outstanding foremen. Bill, our first was in charge of the footings slab framework and roof. He was a joy and his sense of humour was infectious. It was always fun to visit him on site.Our second foreman was the unflappable Levi who coordinated the tradies and promptly addressed any problems that occurred. Levi was always available to answer our many questions and he was well respected by all the tradies we met on site. Speaking of tradies, all those we encountered were extremely professional, friendly and very good at their jobs especially Sam and Paul our tilers. These guys were brilliant, their work was outstanding and the finished result was superb. The plumbers, electricians, carpenter, painter, frame constructors, tradies who erected and rendered the Hebel walls and our timber floor layer were all fantastic at their jobs.At completion we had an independent Building inspection done. The inspector informed us that ours was one of the best structural homes he had seen in years. He could only find some cosmetic problems which Format fixed within the 3 month maintenance period.We cannot thank Format enough for building our dream retirement house. The whole process was exciting and to watch our home become a reality from a vacant block of land to the amazing end result was breathtaking. We would have absolutely no hesitation whatsoever in recommending your wonderful company to our family, friends, colleagues and acquaintances.Jane and Matt

BE WARE OF this company! Because they wont take care of you after you pay. I have nightmare experience with them. You won’t believe that my plumbing opening pipe was blocked the concrete. And I have been contacting them every week from July 2022 till now. More than half year they not trying to resolve the issue at all. As the photo shown, the worker build pathway paving right on the top of plumbing pie and pour so much concrete into it. Don’t waste your money and time here!
