Such a great walk! If you don't want the hardish scramble up to the summit, just walking the lovely forested track about 3/4 of the way up is well worth it and still provides lovely views.

Beautiful beach and bush walk. Last .5km very steep and a bit of a scramble. Were a bit worried about the descent but even the 60-plus made it ok. Gorgeous views from Seal Rocks to the north to Port Stephens to the south. Took us approx 2hrs round trip from the car park. The bush part of the walk is National Park so no dogs. Take plenty of water and maybe walking poles.

Amazing beach and shells! There are some amenities missing to cleanup, so bring water to wash the sand or salt water off. But it's beautiful and easy access.

Stayed at Jimmy's Beach Caravan Park. Close to the beach and surrounded by bush and wildlife. Dogs allowed but no cats...even if they do not leave the RV.Enjoyable for a quiet weekend away with friends and family.

The track entrance is easy to find at the end of the main Hawks Nest beach. From there, a well maintained and gradually sloping track leads up the first kilometre to a very nice view back to Hawks Nest. The last 500m after that is very steep and heavily eroded to the summit. Your reward is views south to the Nelson Bay coastline and lighthouse, as well as back over Hawks Nest and towards Broughton Island. Well worth it as long as your knees are ok up and down!

Great walk with beautiful view at summit. Was challenging due to length of beach walking and steepness once at mountain but short overall

Didnt go up the mountain but went swimming and loved it. Absolutely beautiful beach. Was very salty though but loved it. The sand is beautiful and white.

There is no road past this point for the car. You will have to take the walking tracks or walk on the beach if you want to go further. The sand dunes are big so it's not very easy to go down the beach if you have mobility issues. The beach was quiet and beautiful waves with an amazing views.

Nice spot to go for a walk on the beach which then leads to a bushland trail along the seaside. Amazing spot to find alot of seashells.
