The Waterfront Cottages

Location is all that is good. Cottage 2 - The mattress were collapsed and so uncomfortable to try and sleep. The bed felt like something was wrong too and when we looked under it is missing half the slats with a piece of timber there. The bunk beds were the same situation, collapsed mattresses with bodged up repair work of the bunks. We ended up having to sleep 1 person on the double, 1 person on the lounge and my child on a little sofa for our 3 night stay. The shower glass wasn't cleaned properly and the shower door was very difficult to open. The bathroom tiles are all cracked with grime built up in between the cracks. The hand soap provided was almost empty. There is mould on the ceiling of the bathroom above the shower. The back screen door consistently fell off the track and the glass door was difficult to use and lock. When we arrived the door was wide open and we had to kill the flies and mosquitoes that were in the cabin. No wifi password found and smart tv couldn't be used because of network quality. Also, the whole cabin smelt pretty bad. I'm not sure that these 5 star reviews are genuine because it has to be the worst place I've ever stayed, comparable to a rundown motel.

Very old and run down. Door locks hard to work. Very smelly. Very expensive for what you get. Photos of cabins outdated. Would not recommend to anyone

Was meant to stay in one of these cottages for 4 days (8 of us in total to stay in cottage number 4), the pictures we seen of it before making the booking made it seem like the cottage was lovely, clean. Part of the description said it was renovated but the only part that looked renovated was some of the flooring. The cottage needs A LOT of TLC. It wasn't clean. There was dust everywhere, mold on the windows, mold on the walls and inbetween tiles in the bathrooms. Paint on the walls peeling, The blinds had really thick dust on them. The fans provided were rusty and didn't work properly. Some windows had cracks in them. Some flyscreens were ripped. If the place got cleaned and fixed properly, I'd come back to stay. But until then, wouldn't come back

Have stayed here several times and really enjoy it. I find the cabins clean and comfortable and the location is something special. Bunks beds are more for kids but I ( six foot plus) sleep there fine.

Just spent two nights at the Waterfront Cottages. We stayed in Cabin 3 which is set back a bit from the waters edge. (book cabin 1 or 2 if you want waterfront). We had a pretty good stay. It's great value accommodation right on the water. Just don't expect too much. It's a self check in system. The cabin is old but very clean and has nearly everything you need. If you are planning on cooking bring your own utensils as the supplied stuff wasn't too good (no tongs or sharp knife). The queen bed was comfy and the toilets and showers pretty good. There are plenty of bunk beds too. Laundry is in a separate building. The lounge room furniture wasn't very comfortable and the outside table is way past its used by date but it wasn't too much of a problem because we spent most of our time out and about. The property has its own wharf which wasn't very productive for fishing. I fished close by near the boat ramp and caught a tonne of fish. Overall if you are not looking for anything fancy this is a nice spot to stay.

Delightfully surprised..the cottages may be old but they are beautifully presented inside. Full amenities and sparkling clean. Excellent fishing possibilities with the new jetty. Highly recommended.

Good location with water views and just across the street from a good coffee shop. Well appointed and comfortable. Pet friendly. Close to Culburra beach and shops. Good value for money.

Lovely waterfront views but the cleaning of the cottages could be a whole lot better. We had meat or fish blood floating in the bottom of the fridge and spots of wee on the toilet seat which indicated that it hadn’t been cleaned.

Great location, beautiful views,comfy bed neat and tidy cottage and Luke the general duty's manager was awesome,,10/10 can't wait to come back with my family.

The communication with the manager was good, the location perfect. We could just walk everywhere, the cabin was well equipped, the beds very comfortable. We can't wait to go back again. The cabin & peacefullness were well worth the drive.
