Literally incredible!! We had the chefs selection/ banquet style, which had 6 courses of absolute heaven. Each meal was packed with the most beautiful flavours and complemented the next perfectly. Service was incredible. An amazing dining experience we can’t stop talking about

A fantastic Asian restaurant in Mermaid Waters. Starting with the excellent service, this is a great dining experience. The food is sensational and fresh- terrific flavours and nicely presented. If you want a great meal, be sure to visit Lucky Bao.

Plenty of parking, and has indoor and outdoor seating.Staff were absolutely lovely, and catered well to allergy concerns.The bao were massive, with 2 per person being quite filling. They were super fluffy, and their fillings were delicious. The confit pork belly bao was a favourite! The drinks were great too (pictured: Rosa S, Bobby bang).A little pricey, with 2 bao and a drink coming to around $42, but it seems to be the standard pricing for the area (and Gold Coast in general).Highly recommend trying this great local placeig: @travel__eat__repeat_

We had an Eggplant & Tofu Bao and, Vegetable Gyoza with Ice coffee. The bun was mouthwatering soft and delicious, you can feel it. Especially the eggplant filling was my favourite.Must recommend if you’re into Asian fusion delicacy, one of my favourite place in the Coast to have Bao.Takeaway, Indoor and out dining option available.

Booked here for a table 12 for a birthday get together.Service was hit and miss depending on the staff. We were lucky to have a female waitress that had missed her calling and should have been a comedian!!!! NotThe food was on the whole delicious and all dishes were well presented and tasty.All was well until the bill arrived( and I paid it without thought).Close to $1000 for 12 persons, working out at a whopping $82 per head for Asian tapas.I admit I don't mind a tipple and this included 2 bottles of wine and the odd glass of wine for others, a couple of beers and soft drinks.It might be me but $82 per head for tapas is excessive, if this is what you are happy to pay, good luck....if you are happy with average service and good food this is most definitely a place you should visit..Oh and the restaurant itself is tiny and large groups will be outside in an unthemed basic undercover area.I did reach out to Lucky Bao to clarify the bill without luck, hence the review.A real shame, as if this was the full real deal it would be touch to match.....chef's you were awesome.Cheers

Absolutely blown away by this little place. We did the tasting menu and everything was absolutely delicious. The staff couldn't do enough for us, they made my husband a custom cocktail, and made me the best mocktail I've had all year. Absolutely phenomenal vibes, a wonderful team and scrumptious fresh food.

I love the atmosphere of this restaurant! Specially the staffs are very friendly and kind. I just hope they make fish&chips in normal adult’s size as well- I tasted my son’s fish&chips (kids menu) and I loved it! I will definitely visit this place again :)

The impression from the initial warm and friendly customer service provided - it won't go wrong!The assistances provided during the food ordering towards to the end of dinning section - confirmed the 5 Starts Service they deserved!Dishes were well presented. The flavors of the Baos we ordered tonight were beautifully executed with its distinctive ingredients with each bit, wow! Even kids enjoyed very much! Well done!The chicken soup noodles with added fried dumplings that we ordered tonight was tasty as expected, yet the flavor of the soup may had affected by the oil from the fried dumplings and the noodles used was a basic choice.A must go place when you visit the Mermaid Beach in Gold Cost.

Went for dinner last night 28/4 and we had the best time! I think this had a great deal to do with the customer service we received. We sat outside and had a beautiful young waitress that was super friendly and attentive. All the other staff were also very friendly. Now the food - AMAZING!! Every dish was amazing and so full of flavour. Highly recommend the cauliflower dish. Super generous and absolutely delicious meals. Highly recommend this place and I can't wait to return!

Started well food was ok to start but after course three everything was so so shockingly sweet . The crispy eggplant was inedibly sweet, broccoli again so so sweet. Chicken wings were nice and crunchy but again so so sweet . Mushroom dish was a surprise full of flavour but very salty and the cocktail was clearly pre made ok but not $20.
