Stay away from this store. The price may be lower than other places yet the quality is inferior and you will end up having to replace the product again in less than two weeks.The person told me to pay 40% more than the quoted price to upgrade to a genuine apple screen. This was a lie.I paid extra for the same inferior screen he was going to install all along. Feel so foolish and this is illegal.The screen did not last a week and when I told him I doubted it was an apple product he told me to go to an Apple Store and ask them to confirm. I called apple and they told me to check online at their registry. Phone link is not on this list. No one on Blacktown is on this list. No wonder they did not give me the package of the screen they used so I could not confirm the manufacturer or any details.The screen felt different from the original and the first sign of an issue was I could no longer read the Herald on my phone and click on the small icons as I usually could. The work around was to enlarge and then click so I didn’t complain. Annoying yes, but there was a quick solution.Less than two weeks a small crack appeared on the centre button. And lower right hand corner. As these are on the black sections of the phone, i can’t confirm when they appeared.Now there’s a deep crack that runs through the two initial cracks within half a day of minimal phone use.The owner is simply accusing me of cracking the phone: he alleges he has over 16 years experience and there is a science in telling the source of a crack from a photo. Interesting, as the iPhone original screen lasted over two years with no issue until my child smashed her toy on it. I have clearly been sold an inferior product and mislead into believing it was the genuine apple screen.I asked for a tax receipt and what what provided had no reference to the screen I purchased, abn or GST.I told him I will be reporting him both to the ATO and ACCC as it is clear he is a dishonest person.As I don’t have a tax receipt I will ask the ACCC for company details first before lodging a tip off to the ATO.I encourage anyone who witnesses this to do the same. Ask for a tax receipt and actually check it in store unlike me.We end up paying more collectively through wastage and taxes. This is very important to me as we all need to do the right thing for an equitable, transparent and honest economy there is a reporting line for both agencies and anyone can request the ATO to do an audit. You can do this anonymously if you are uncomfortable the absence of a tax receipt after requesting it is one big red flag.The receipt must include thesupplier’s name and ABN or ACNdate of supplyproduct or service, andprice.
