Allambie Orchard

Rupert at Allambie Orchard together with his brother were so welcoming and friendly and we would definitely go back again next year!The cherry orchard is family owned and they don't commercially sell the fruit so there are always plenty of great quality fruit on the trees. We visited in the middle of December and there were still plenty of cherries left for picking. Cherries were sold at $7.50 per kg (in Dec 2018).After picking your cherries, do stop by the cafe to try their cherry pie. The pie itself is one of the best I've ever tasted. It sells for $6.50 a slice or $18.00 for the whole pie (which is fantastic value). I also bought a whole pie to take home with me.Great place for families and young ones!

Friendly and humorous oritentation staff. Booking is required. Thumbs up for no entry fee. Cherries are of good quality. Cherry ice cream in the cafe is delicious. Highly recommend.

Wonderful orchard with perfect lake view plus surprises could be spotted everywhere; cherries are beautiful, giant and super juicy.

The cherries here were $9/kg. No entry fee. The cherries were not big and although they were sweet, a lot of them were bitten with holes, so a bit hard to pick good ones. A lot them were way too high up the trees as well. I think it's more of a destination spot for tourists. It has a cafe to relax and to order some drinks and light food. For a great experience and cherries, best head to Orange.

A wonderful orchard for cherry picking. Big, ripe and juicy cherries. Taste so sweet! Thanks to Rupert, the owner for his warm hospitality. Very reasonable price at $8 a kilo without minimum pick. We were there on the first week of Dec, and there were plenty of cherries to pick. Also, due to Covid-19, the number of visitors were limited, making it a very pleasant experience. Plenty of space to social distance. Hope to visit again next year.

I've only been to 3 different cherry orchards my whole life but this one so far is the most scenic and has the best cherry varieties. They have 20++ different varieties.Bonus point no minimum spend. The other places I've been to had 5kg min spend!

This orchard was probably my favourite of the 3 cherry orchards I visited in the Wombat/Young area this season. Getting a reservation was a bit difficult, though their website was up-to-date with the relevant information. It looks like they're pretty much fully booked for the rest of the 2020-2021season now. You might try your luck and pop in if you're on your own or a maximum group size of 2, but by the sounds of it they have been inundated with enquiries.The property was on the main highway but quite nice and picturesque. The fellow who owns this orchard was pleasant and friendly, and was doing a good job of dealing with all the visitors in between phone calls enquiring about bookings etc.The cherries here were the sweetest I'd had this season, I think they were mostly the Lapins variety, either way they were the ones with the shorter stems and definitely my favourite (apart from the couple of trees with white fleshed cherries I found at Ballinaclash Orchard).Thanks for a lovely afternoon and I hope to do the long trip up again soon!

Good place for cheery picking. They got few differentiation varieties of cheery but black one most sweeter. Plenty of parking and a pond to have some good time or picnic with family. Per kg $10. No entry fee and a ice cream shop to have something for sunny day. Wash room available.

Very juicy cherries and beautiful farm! It was nice to have a picnic by the waterside! Will definitely come back again :)
