Shiny Nails

Lovely staff and good service. It's always busy on a Saturday and there's usually a wait if you don't have an appointment. I have been able to walk in on Sunday afternoons though.

Looking at my previous review (below) which was probably written a year ago, I still think this is the best and friendliest nail salon in Canberra.Best place I’ve ever been to for acrylic nails and pedicures. Ivy and Lee have built a friendly and talented team, who make it a pleasure to visit the salon. I’ve been going here since it opened and never had a broken or lifted nail in all that time. Client and staff safety is paramount, which is particularly important during the challenging times created by the pandemic. Thank you Shiny Nails team.

The service was really excellent, the staff were great! I walked out really happy with my manicure and SNS! I will definitely be back next time - thank you ☺️

I am also a loyal customer of Shiny Nails and have been for many years. I now book my appointments according too their request as it assists them in staffing and business efficiency. I have nothing but praise for the friendly and professional staff who are always courteous and provide an excellent service.

I have been here lots of times and enjoyed but not sure I’d go again. The gel polish seemed to have either expired or been thinned down. So the colour was pale, translucent and patchy. I was super disappointed as I had been really looking forward to. I did ask about it and whether it could be fixed. The lady was lovely and polite but said they’d have to start again and that I should have been clearer that I wanted a bright colour and that the brand I’d chosen was a bad choice (not that you can tell the brand when you choose). I just left as was out of time. But shouldn’t there be good products only supplied and shouldn’t it just match the sample?

I have been a loyal customer for 10 years, i arrived on Saturday morning at 10am to get a pedicure, sns and eyebrow wax, the owner told me I had to wait until 12.30 as they were booked out. I was very disappointed in the customer service!!!It just goes to show you that customer loyalty doesn’t exist. I won’t be recommending shiny nails to my friends in the future. I will think twice about returning to shiny nails.

My experience is always greatIvy usually does my nails and is always friendly and professionalI like that they now have appointment options as I like to have my nails done on a particular day and time so now I just book in and know I don’t have to wait

1. Staff has attitude especially the man who was at the reception. Very rude. Pushed me to hurry with polish choice and walked off.2. The manicure was a disaster. The lady accidentally blotched part of the manicure on my thumb. She did not re do it. Instead she tried to patch it with another layer of polish.3. She cut one of my toenails so short without me realizing. it looked horrible in my sandals last night.4. Not so clean. There were cut nails from previous clients all over the table where she did my manicure.5. The nail polish seems to be expired as it was smudgy and chalky on application and already next morning ,parts are peeling off.Most important is the attitude. The staff need to learn to listen to our complaint and fix it... not brush it offVery disappointing experience
