The Pinot Noir is amazing and internationally award winning.... and it's worth a look at a property that boasts trees from the 1800's who's seeds were brought from England by Mr. Moss who was responsible for many of the Royal Botanic Gardens and Melbourne CBD trees. about 20km as the crow flies from Port Phillip Bay, it's a picturesque area.BUT it's best to order online as it definitely isn't a drop- by Cellar Door. Owner and winemaker John Ellis was one of the early vine planters on Long Island New York and his history and his Pinot Noir making knowledge are both fascinating. He also makes an internationally award winning Chardonnay, Rose, Pinot Gris, a choice of Pinot Noirs and a Nebbiolo.
