We love this dojan. It is such a supportive environment. The kids classes are great and the adult ones are fantastic too! Mr Geister and all the team are good hearted, patient and knowledgeable people. I am very happy we found this place. It is one of a kind for martial arts. Totally recommended

I've participated in several different types of martial arts, and hapkido has been by far the most well rounded and relevant martial art I've done. I love the feeling that you're part of a community at this club. Everyone helps eachother to get the most out of their training and it's just all round good vibes.

Our son Liam just loves Hapkido Master Geister is great as well as all the other instructors - its a fabulous martial art as well as alot of self defence moves are taught which we particularly also love :-)

I highly recommend Northern Beaches Hapkido because it is an amazing community, with passionate members and understanding Masters. When I first began, I was new and clumsy, especially with my cat rolls, but I enjoyed every bit of the lesson and fell in love with the martial art and the people there. Over time, twice a week I devoted my time to a refreshing and sturdy lesson, each lesson being different in subject, always moving around as we tried both new and old techniques. One of the reasons that I enjoyed it so much was that it wasn’t just some normal ‘’punch punch kick’’ class, but a whole family system of people of all different ages, who all came together under one roof to test their skills. The drills and patterns are elaborate and memorable, and the time when we are introduced to new movements is heart racing and exciting. The lessons are taught by the best Masters that I have, and will ever know, who have helped guide me towards each of my Hapkido accomplishments steadily, and have always listened to my questions. The Masters make sure that you leave the lesson slightly tired but smiling; you have a good workout, one that makes you feel revived and excited for the next class. The teaching methods encourage students to push themselves and test their beliefs on what they can do with a strong but caring grip.I was very lucky to find such a warm and kind dojo, where everyone worked together as one and no one felt excluded or behind. Northern Beaches Hapkido has grown a lot since I have joined, and I’ve made new friends along the way that have supported me time and time again whenever I’ve felt like I don't understand how to do a specific task. I’ve never felt like I was never good enough. Because at NB Hapkido it’s about each individual journey, about trying your best, giving your full concentration to the Master/s and having a go at it. And I’ve surprised myself with the things that I have done; the obstacles I’ve faced. I’ve done things that I never thought I could do.NB Hapkido taught me that we can all do amazing things, achieve striking goals and make good friends for life. Simply the best. Outstanding tuition from competent, committed instructors. Senior instructor Master Matt Geister just has a knack of bringing out the best in everyone, a gifted coach. In summary, thoroughly recommended for beginners in martial arts or the more experienced. All are made notably welcome.

The most friendly, inclusive sporting club in Australia. You walk in as a novice and are immediately excepted and encouraged. The wonderful group of instructors and fellow students inspire you to be the best you can be physically and mentally.

The best martial arts training I could imagine for kids. Master Geister and his crew have such a talent to teach and inspire their students.
