I have nothing but praise for Powercor. My business was using max power and we kept tripping a phase. Each time the service team came as quickly as possible to replace the fuse. We have subsequently upgraded the supply and the upgrade was incredibly well organised, safe, efficient and expertly done. Well done North Vic team.

Currently sitting in the freezing cold!! Total of 14 hrs waiting time today. 7 fir them to come and look at my power box, then another 7 and counting to reconnect!!! Everytime you ring you get a different time they will be here and there never here. Now being told we can't give you a time but it will be this evening. It's a 10 minute job to turn it on. Absolutely appalling service. You obviously need more staff if you can not keep up with the demand.

Constant and consecutive nights of unplanned sudden power outages with Powercor. Powercor is foreign owned and based in China. Powercor's Parent company is Cheung Kong Holdings 51% and Spark Infrastructure 49%. Australian essential infrastructure where they report the companies operations to China's Regime. They are spreading misinformation and are untrustworthy. Their advertising is really propaganda of the regime because they actually supply UNsafe, UNreliabe and UNaffordable power.Over here, every time there is a sudden power outage, the mobile/ telecommunications towers fail soon after so we can't even communicate, at all. I've made a complaint to Powercor and their tone in their response is, they couldn't care less if we're left without communication. Powercor is not going to do anything about these mobile phone towers being left without any power during the power outages. This is a large DISGRACE from Chinese owned Powercor

Disgraceful customer service. I have had a very large power surge which caused a high voltage injection to major appliances on the 1st of March. After 9 weeks of very poor communication and only 2 return phone calls after making countless phone calls, I have resolved myself to think that Powercor just do not care. I had sent through an email on 11th of April asking for some consideration to place priority on a couple of damaged appliances. One item that was damaged beyond repair was the controller door which means that the roller door needs to be opened and closed manually. Currently I have both shoulders which require surgery due to torn muscles and my wife does not have the strength to lift the roller door.2 - Central Heating motor not working, so as we are approaching cooler days, we do not have any other form of heating the house as the central heating / cooling is inoperative.Multiple appliances have been damaged through NO fault of mine yet I have been made to arrange inspections and reports at my expense. Is it too much to ask for Powercor to action the replacement of these necessary appliances(which they have acknowledged responsibility) in a timely manner - I guess so. If the company that I work for damage something and admit that we are at fault, we action the repairs immediately and try to minimize any inconvenience to the customer. I can only assume that Powercor do not have any empathy for their customers who are not at fault.Australian Consumer Law states the rights of a consumer are as follows:the right to safety; the right to be informed; the right to choose; the right to be heard; the right to redress; the right to satisfaction of basic needs; the right to consumer education; and the right to a healthy environment. I believe that Powercor is in breach of most of these rights in my circumstancesThis post is in reference to claim no. 07526.The purpose of my post was to address the lack of communication and progress of my claim. I would have appreciated a call from Powercor instead of me having to ring. Again, I left a message on the main number with no return call. I did manage to speak to the Customer Resolution Manager and he then explained the circumstances and was very helpful with progressing the claim to the next stage. I will keep in direct contact with him moving forward.

They try to charge your credit cards for bills before you even get the bill. (I don’t remember writing them a “blank check” when I signed up with them.) Even when you pay your bill on-time the system does not seem to be updated so they phone you asking for bills already paid. Power companies in Australia are not great (as a industry).

NOT happy with Powercor. As an electrician I have no choice but to work with this company. They now have an econnect online portal for there area. So i have to lodge paperwork with the retailer and also with power cor through this system. To book a job through the system we need two accounts. One for the company and one for the electrician. Very frustrating drawn out process. On top of this their charges are high.

Called them on Monday about an electrical fault, they said its the homeowner’s problem. Got an electrician to rectify the problem Monday afternoon, he said there was no power coming out of the mains (not his problem, he’s not allowed to touch anything before the meter). Called Powercor again Tuesday morning, guy on phone repeated the same thing (homeowner’s problem), despite me trying to convey what the sparky told me to them. They now want to speak to the sparky, got hold of him Tuesday afternoon, he spoke to them. Powercor sent team to repair WEDNESDAY afternoon.

been without power for days, feels like i am living in the medieval times. i haven’t had any access to a nice warm shower, a cozy heater and all my nicely frozen meats are now freshly defrosted. my main feed line from the power pole to the house has snapped in half and is dangling dangerously on the footpath, creating major danger for anyone who walks past. we’ve noticed it spark serval times and have notified the power company but each time they say they’ll come, 20 minutes prior, they cancel on us. and you know what the best part is, i’m still paying for my electricity that isn’t even running through my house.
