Exhausting! Don't rent a toboggan/sled. Only rent one if you wish to drag your toddler across the sand. It will not zoom down the dunes.

I'm rating the dunes not many dunes are accessible without a 4wd though this one is. The Strahan caravan park let's you rent sand boards so you can board the sand. The picnic area was a table. Good parking. Close to the road and about 15 mins out of Strahan.

Wow amazing sand dunes, lots of fun climbing up and slithering down. Our kids had a great time and burnt off heaps of energy. Months later they are still asking to go to 'sand dunes'.

While a unique experience, we were over it pretty quickly. We love the outdoors but we're still finding sand a week later!

I am not interested to do sand surfing but am eager to see a dune 50m high. Stop by the picnic area and was quite disappointed of the view. The picnic area is behing the high dune and the sea is over the dune on the other side. I definitely did not attempt to climb the dune and take in the view on the other side.

There was an abandoned car and lots of rubbish at this site. The dunes are great, but it felt a bit sad.
