Went to get my helix pierced, the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. I felt very comfortable and was a very professional atmosphere. The piercing looked great as well loved it!

Top 3 things to know1) Came here today with my daughter to get her belly pierced. Staff were excellent- informative, helpful and the piercer did a great job. I'd highly recommend them for body piercing.2) They stock a large range of lip smacker and other American chap sticks and lip balms which you can't find elsewhere in Cairns.3) OPI nail polishes are only $9.95 . That's half the price of elsewhere. Colour range is limited.More- They also stock face paint, hair accessories, stick on nails, face masks, sunglasses and, of course, a wide range of cosmetics.

Everytime I go in, I’m not sure if the lady is the manager or what but she always gives me unfriendly stares and hardly says a word to me. If I ask to look at jewellery and sizing she acts like it’s the end of the world and not her job to show me. I went in the other day to get a septum ring and I asked for a gold one expecting her to ask me which size I wanted but she didn’t?! She just gave me a small one which hardly fits in my nose!! I absolutely hate going in there because she’s actually terrible and rude but it’s the easiest place to go.

If I could give it one star, I would. The customer service is horrendous. The staff give extremely rude looks to their customers and act like their customers are an inconvenience to them. When you walk into the store, there is no greeting and purchases are surrounded with very cold, rude attitudes.They do not answer their phones when you call, I called at least 4 times to book a piercing appointment as an appointment is necessary.Oh my first cartilage piercing the staff were very rude, however the piercer was lovely and really knew her stuff and gave me a great piercing.My second piercing the staff were again rude, and the piercer was extremely poorly educated in her position as the ear was pierced so close to the edge that the piercing fell through the thin piece of ear it was holding on top and has left a permanent split in my ear. I was also provided inadequate and inappropriate jewelry for the piercings I received which did not make the situation better.Do not get piercings here, as it really is unlikely it will be a good experience. I would 100% recommend going somewhere such as karma house or a tattoo parlour…

Absolutely disgusting customer service - not at all friendly in fact rude, no acknowledgement toward the customer when approaching the counter. My friend had an appointment for a piercing and was no more than 5 minutes late - at booking the man said to come in any time around booking time up to half an hour later - but they refused to take her appointment even though there were no other appointments. They had no concern for the reputation of their store. Will NEVER shop here again, which is sad because my first experience here was actually really good but with a different store person. Disgraceful. Would've much preferred to give 0 stars

This is the rudest place I ever walked in and the most disgusting service I ever received. Please never take a baby there for ear piercing.The piercers I had today obviously hate babies , had no patience and no idea how to work with a baby. All they did is rolling their eyes up , and literally did THROW the info in my pram filling her eyes out walking out the door because I was trying to comfort my crying screaming distressed baby.She added , we have many people to attend too after throwing the paper at me in the pram.

Absolutely disgusting service. Wouldn't even stand up from behind the counter to answer my questions. Gave me attitude and had extremely bad body language after asking how much it would cost to get my nose pierced. Was so keen to get it done but unfortunately the bad service made me go somewhere else. You lost a sale because you were extremely unaccommodating. Very disappointing. Can't imagine how uncomfortable young kids feel getting pierced in there. Do not go here for your piercings, they don't deserve your hard earned cash.

I went in to get a change over. She asked me how long I've had it and if it's sore which it is being played with too much. As a piercer myself, I can look at a piercing and instantly know what jewellery it is. Instead of using the correct tools to remove my jewellery, I had to tell her how to do her job properly. I've never been in so much pain to the point that she made my ear inflame that not even another piercer wanted to touch it as I had plasma dripping down my ear!Perhaps invest in a piercer that is actually qualified!

Me and my boyfriend came in to get piercings and we were really welcomed by Amber. First needle piercings so we were nervous but she told us how to look after them and really calmed us. Super professional! Bonus points for LGBTQ flag on her lanyard felt very welcome

Cosmetic Plus is one of those stores that leave you to shop on your own. Don't expect a hello and don't expect them to ask if you need help. When you do go up to the counter they are polite, informative and helpful. I have had a few piercings done by them. One set is almost five years old and I am super happy with them. The other set I had to get fixed at Lovisa. It is 50/50 on how the service is when I go in there but honestly I'm not the type of person who wants a hello or for someone to follow me around while I'm shopping (I like to keep to myself).All in all dont expect the text book retail experience at Cosmetic Plus. They are good in their own way.
