The design of restaurant is good and staff are nice!The food is average but the seasonings of sushi rice has no vinegar which is quite disappointed. Also, it is quite authentic to use zucchini to make tempura but I am not a fan of it.If you wanna try the real Japanese food, I reckon this one is not the best choice.

The sukiyaki has a big difference from others photo ( the one have a big mushroom) , the sushi plate os good value, however it’s not authentic Japanese food. The rice is not sushi rice, only short grain rice, the vinegar is not enough, don’t even mention the tightness of the sushi roll and sushi. Maybe I have too high expectations, for this price it’s acceptable only.

Great food with great prices and big servings - we enjoyed our food however the Japanese curry was lacking a bit of flavour. Staff was really pleasant.

Really good honest home style cooking.Nice sake selection (we enjoyed the one we selected). The select your own nigiri was good, and although the chefs sashimi and sushi selection was really tasty, there was a little too much rice in the sushi, and the sashimi was a little thin. The chicken karage curry was flavourful and generous.Well priced meal, will come back.

Yum yum yum!!! Great cozy spot to enjoy all the Japanese classics. The black garlic chashu ramen should definitely be a permanent staple on their menu! Great budget dining option in Hobart.

We were pleasantly impressed with the quality of food and service we received. I ordered the black garlic ramen and my partner has the katsu curry , both tasting amazing ! The lady serving us was all smiles and so very helpful. Two very happy tourists , thank you for having us !

One of the best sushi rolls and ramen I have had. The 10p spicy salmon roll was fresh and melted in my mouth with every bite (all it takes is one) portion sizes were more than enough .The lovely staff accommodated me in switching ingredients for a ramen as I asked for chicken with vegetarian broth- which was amazing to eat as well. The service is so lovely, and no wait at all. And put it this way - If you want to have a relaxing authentic time this is the place to have it.
