My favourite store in all of Melbourne. Not only is Picture Search the last bastion of video rentals, but Derek's knowledge is second to none. If you want the best movie selection (possibly in Australia) this is the place to go. Oh and they sell vinyl too.

Great selection of records! I would much prefer to support a local business like this then to support Amazon!The dvd selection is enormous, I am definitely considering buying a dvd player so that I can dive into some cinematic gems.

I read the reviews before going and I knew what to expect. My journey was for music and I knew exactly what I wanted. I asked to be pointed in that direction and received a blank stare for a minute, I then asked a slightly different way and received a very aggressive reply. While browsing MUSIC.. I was then hit with the DVD bragging speech. What part of MUSIC CD's means I am interested in your pointless number of DVD's

On a cold Tuesday night in Melbourne, I made my way, once again. to this fine store. Hoping it was still open, I was thrilled to find it was. The perfect place to nestle yourself into and around its winding shelves on a Winter's night when there is nothing of it's kind nearby or even open. Full of gems and all maintained by the knowledgeable owner who was nice enough to write down, by hand, a comprehensive list of titles, that I required for my collection. Thank you. I love dropping in to this shop and getting recommendations from the owner, who will put a note on what you might like to watch in the future, on your computer file . Great way to learn about new films and also to have a robust conversation about cinema. Thanks for being there for the in real life community at all hours of the day.
