Stan The Man Fitness Academy

I've been to several martial arts clubs around Melbourne, and this one is top notch! The equipment is superior and both Stan and George are a true inspiration!

I went and did my 1st class at the Academy yesterday and was blown away with the amount of knowledge and wisdom that Stan and George shared with the whole group! I thought i knew pretty much all about the martial arts especially the stand up having done it for nearly 20 years! These two guys are true gentlemen and experts at the highest level. The training was awesome and the lecture was the best i have ever heard. I highly recommend the Academy to all genders, ages and levels!

Highly recommended !!! Stan & George are the most fantastic, dedicated coaches. My two boys learned so much within a short period of time, and they eagerly look forward to every lesson. Great to see my boys so motivated, great example to my boys, looking up to the champions!

This is the most welcoming environment I’ve come across in martial arts, for me as a small framed female it’s hard to find somewhere that gives you the same opportunity and knowledge as a male but here everyone is given equal opportunity to achieve their goals via hard work and self discipline and many other factors. I would 110% recommend this Academy

Getting taught kick boxing from professional and world class fighters is truly a blessing. Stan and George are great Sensei's and have a great gym. Highly recommend their gym to people interested in learning kick boxing plus they are great facilities

No doubt the training was good by true ex champions but the admin side of things was very dodgy. My partner and i were very excited to join this gym and bought all the stan the man gear on the first day. When we signed up, we picked the direct debit option which did not stat to be a 12 months contract at the time. When i have contacted admin to cancel after one day of training due to interstate work commitments, they told me it will cost $400 outright which i have rejected. They then went on to charge my partner and i every fortnight from 20th of April - 29th of June. When i came back from interstate, i went to the academy and spoke to George directly in which he insisted the only condition i have is to be able to suspend my contract after 12 months. When i asked him for my contract at the time he said he didn't know where they are and after messaging admin for a couple of days, they finally sent me my contract with 12 months hand written on it by hand. After numerous correspondents, they have finally agreed to cancel my membership however, i will be contacting vcat for this matter.
