Went here for dinner tonight and we were very excited based on how busy it was! We were extremely disappointed.Plates were ridiculously hot but food was cold, very clearly microwaved. On the upside staff were friendly.On arriving home both of us had upset stomachs. We won’t be returning.

The staffs were friendly and helpful. We don’t have to really wait too long for food; even though, the place was fully packed on Saturday evening . The portion was quite big; we ordered 3 items and sharing 4 persons. Beef Burrito & Enchilada combo plate was serving extremely hot (the waitress warned us not to touch and be careful for it). Chicken Fajitas was also sizzling hot. Guacamole was awesome. They were all good and yummy.

Unfortunately not a place I'd recommend. Food was average. We waited for 40 mins to get our food. The ladies workingthere were nice but we had to ask for cutlery as the table wasn't set up properly. The chicken in the fajitas was dry and overcooked and extremely salty. Not a place I'd go back.

As locals and having lived here for a very long time, we have often dined at Montezumas Mooloolaba. However the last time we ate at Montezumas, we noticed the serving size has reduced considerably from what it use to be and the price has increased and food not as good. We left the restaurant hungry and disappointed. It's not value for money anymore. It use to be great. In fact we use to struggle to eat a large nachos between us but that is not the case anymore.We like to support local business but unfortunately this restaurant has gone downhill from what it use to be.It's a shame as its a great atmosphere but the food and serving size is disappointing.Sorry Montezumas but you have lost our patronage.Have you changed ownership?Is this the reason for the downturn in quality and quantity?

Sad to say, but this place needs a makeover. In every area. Everything is old and looks dirty. The customer service is quite poor. I watched one girl wait an extra ten minutes for her meal when her six friends were already eating. The food was also disappointing.The rice was over done and no one was impressed. Talking to a colleague the next night and I discovered she agreed.This place is not recommended by The Review Queen.

The food here is great. Nice portion sizes and excellent frozen margaritas.The place is a little echoey so once it fills up it's quite loud.We booked via Google and got seated the 2 of us in a 6 person booth which was great!

Food was really good, the wait staff attentive and the decoration was cool too, not this standard food court furniture that's found in a lot of modern places.The place was so authentic it even had sticky tables and an ant family at our table. Jokes aside that would be my only criticism, wash the cloth out a bit more and use some detergent. I'd give it 5/5 then.

Went for lunch today with my family. The waitress was friendly and nice but the food was beyond disappointing. We got queso fundito and it’s usually great. But this time there was onion in it and they’ve never done previous times we’ve gone. The corn chips were different and tasted bland. The rice on the dishes was beyond salty and left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth. The taquitos were so dry, the meat tasted burnt. And the food wasn’t hot even though the plates were boiling. I don’t know if there’s new management, new chef or they’re using different products but we were really disappointed as all the food used to taste great. And the passion fruit cocktail didn’t even taste like passion fruit and was very sour.

Always enjoy Montezumas restaurants. This is our first time in the Mooloolaba one. We only had one gripe & that was not enough heat in the food, needed chilli. I had the Montezumas delight which is a vegetarian dish with lots of healthy salad. Also started with dips & corn chips. Corn chips were the packet variety , dips were nice especially the cheese one. Service was fast
