I would highly recommend Sam's Local Plumbing. I recently had my 25-year-old hot water system replaced. After meeting with and discussing the price estimates and proposed equipment brands, I selected Sam's local plumbing to complete the new install. While Sam's local plumbing was slightly higher priced, I was impressed with their knowledge of different hot water system brand names. We compared and contrasted different options; for they were willing to install whatever hot water brand that I wanted. Sam's local plumbing technician recommended brand for my home, which I ultimately chose for my house install.We scheduled an install date and time. The technicians arrived timely and begin the install. They were friendly and practiced safe COVID-19 protocols. Sam's local plumbing completed the install by mid-afternoon and provided guidance on how to use the new thermostat and filter system.We were contacted the following day by a technician for a follow-up visit. I was impressed with the consideration of the technician. Many technicians would have continued with other installation jobs without further concern about my job.

I found Sam's Local Plumbing through the google and was not let down. We had a leaky kitchen faucet, called Sams Local plumbing and the plumber was out on the same day. He recommended replacing the faucet and after a bit of research we agreed and scheduled the install for the following day.The night before they were set to arrive our dishwasher stopped working. The install was quick and they didn't leave a trace. We did a fair amount of research and were really pleased with their pricing.We were really pleased with Sam's Local Plumbing and will definitely use them again if we need a Plumber.

I would give them a zero if possible.Don't use them. They scam you. The plumber promised to come around 12:00pm but did not show till 3:30pm. He promised he could do the job and it would cost around $750, and we agreed. He. did not complete the job left us hanging for two days and had the keys to our apartment. He also did not pick our phone and then after two days said that he will need to be paid after hours to do the job. Worst plumbing service. Avoid at all cost. Horrible experience. We were lucky our property manager organised a new plumber who did the job in half an hour and saved us from these scammers.Poor workmanship and asked for more money upfront to have it repaired is unacceptable and very unprofessional.Very disappointed with the whole experienceService: Faucet repair

If you are in the ACT, DO NOT USE SAMS PLUMBING. I used them on Friday last week for a kitchen tap (flick mixer) repair. It was a basic job and the issue was obvious. No need for any detailed assessment or troubleshooting. The plumber arrived on time and was professional, polite and attended to the job as required. He replaced the tap with similar. I have looked up the tap and they are about $60-80. I was quoted $580 plus GST to undertake the work. I agreed at the time as I wanted it fixed. I believe quoting pre GST to a retail customer is illegal. Ultimately we can all mentally add 10% but they should quote a total cost. But add the 'assessment fee' of $79 and in total it came to $729 to replace a kitchen tap. I understand the price of things today having had many trades at my house in recent times, but this left a bad taste in my mouth. I paid the invoice as there was no issues with the work and I had agreed to the price. My issue is with the price. It is blatant overcharging. Anyone who seeks multiple quotes will not use SAMS.I have privately informed SAMS of my concerns and my views of their business model. It is flawed in several ways. Having looked at reviews online over the weekend I see that my concerns have been shared by others. I also see that SAMS in the ACT has been on the wrong end of legal proceedings.For poor reviews that I have seen of SAMS, the company normally responds with either a) we have no record of you being a customer (suggesting a malicious review) or b) please get in contact and we'll address your concerns (seeming to be helpful).In this instance for a) I am an actual, recent customer and my job number is 56216. I am in the system. For b), I have made my concerns directly known to SAMS, before providing this review, which they requested.I have never felt this way or taken this position with any trades company ever. I have never posted an online review before. But I have to make an exception here as SAMS have taken things to a new level.

Got a mixer tap replaced for 770. Knew price was steep (same situation as another reviewer 2 years ago who complained bitterly about overcharging) but 1) was the only plumber who could come fix on the day 2) was the only plumber who picked my call. All other calls went to voicemails but to be fair, were responded to.....eventually 3) did give me the option to turn off the isolation tap so I did not have to go without water elsewhere in my house if I decided not to go with their quote to fix mixer tap 4) told me I did not need other repair work when I asked 5) called another reputable plumber in ACT who warned that they would charge over $400 call out fee just to show up after hours. 6) offered 5 year warranty with labour - though this has still to be tested. I guess the price is high compared to other plumbers but was given the option to opt out with no pressure,. The alternatives were to wait 1-2 days for another plumber to show up or pay an arm and a leg for one to fit me in after hours. I paid up.

I had put off having anything done having been scared after hearing of others experience. However, I was very surprised by the courteous and professional service of plumber from Sam's Local Plumbing.I called Sam's Local Plumbing with a blocked drain and one of the plumber came out to free the blockage. He explained everything to me and if I didn't understand he was able to illustrate the point in another way so I can comprehend. I was very pleased with the work and consequently requested that he return to replace my water pipes which had been due for renewal for sometime.I would not hesitate to recommend him and his company. Thank you for your service.

I recently needed to have two new faucets replaced in my vanity. I had previous experience with Sam's Local Plumbing. They replaced my water heater. My experience with getting the faucets replaced could not have gone smoother. The staff at Sam's worked with me to get a plumber at the time that suited me. This made it very convenient for my schedule. On the day of the installation, the Plumber arrived on-time. During the procedure, he was always respectful of the space and careful not to create a mess. The expense met my budget guidelines. I would highly recommend this company for any plumbing needs.

JUST CALL SOMEONE ELSEThis company is very dishonest. The majority of the google reviews are fake. I have reported them to ACCC and the plumbers association. I paid $3200 for a water heater replacement I later found out should have been under $2000 from 2 other plumbers. But was too late to withdraw from the contract. The deposit is excessive considering they just sub contract to a local plumber so there is no cost for equipment like they say.The phone number runs to a call Center. They will refuse to put you through to talk to anyone local. Only contact is through email to which I had no replies.They also go by your local plumber and have been taken to court before for being dishonest.

I asked Sam’s Local Plumbing to fix a roof leak. They had been given a copy of a Master Builders report showing exactly what the problem was.After 3 unsuccessful attempts to fix the leak I was also left with ugly black flashing over the front pillars of the house.I then had to engage another tradesman to undo their work and fix the leak.I reported them to Access Canberra who advised to contact ACAT.I am happy to report I was awarded at an ACAT hearing a full refund plus interest.Please do NOT deal with Your Local Plumbing Group who Sam’s Local Plumbing Group are a part of.It looks like they have other cases before ACAT as well.

I recently moved to from Perth to a house I bought here in Victoria. A week after I moved here, on Monday I encountered a blocked drain in the house. I was very confused and tensed on what needs to be done since I do not know any local plumber here in Victoria.I got on the google and searched for local plumber and contacted few local tradesmen, but I didn't get a proper response. Sam's Local Plumbing was the only company who were very courteous and agreed to send a plumber on the same day. The plumber who visited me understood the situation, used his expertise and gave me a expert advice. I loved the way he handled the situation. The best part is Sam's Local Plumbing set the right expectation from the beginning of the call. Everything with Sam's Local Plumbing is perfect.I will for sure recommend the company to friends and family.
