Golden Inn Chinese Restaurant

My family have been eating here since I was little. I visit weekly and it never fails to taste just as amazing as the last time. Annie and her partner have done an amazing job of carrying on the restaurant’s legacy and they go above and beyond if anything is wrong. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the Mongolian beef and definitely recommend to locals and those visiting the area!

Eight for lunch today, all enjoyed our meals which were of ample size and good quality. Efficient friendly service. Recommended.

Found this little gem with a traditional Chinese restaurant vibe and lovely wait staff. Food was reasonably priced and reminded me of exactly how Chinese restaurant food should tasted growing up. I got the basic Mongolian lamb and satay chicken which was delicious and the meat was soft. Had the spring rolls and ham & chicken roll as an entree which was great too! A nice spin with some seafood spring rolls and the ham and chicken roll wasn’t to salty like a lot of places I’ve been and you can taste the flavour of the ingredients rather than just salt. Would highly recommend if you are in the mood for good old Chinese food that you’ve had growing up!

The food was nice but the service was appalling! The condescending and argumentative attitude from the blonde headed “waitress” was disgusting! $220 for a meal that we come every 5-6 weeks when visiting relatives and have been 10 plus times I will never come back. To the owners tell your “waitress” to go and learn customer service and learn how to deal with the public because only that I respected other customers that I didn’t tell her to pull the pole she has up her backside out as she is just a waitress after all.

Absolutely loved everything that this Chinese restaurant had to offer! Only 30 minutes from Port Mac and well worth the drive. The portion sizes are generous and more importantly the authentic flavours of each dish brought back memories of when I conducted business in China. Great service and a special mention to Annie or Anna ( forgot her name) who was the girl at the front of house who was extremely friendly to my family and I. Definitely will be back! Cheers guys!

Food was very delicious, prices were affordable, and above all the service was both friendly and helpful with recommendations. A rare gem and easily one of, if not the best Chinese restaurants in the area. Will definitely be coming back!

I go here regularly with my mum and partner and have been eating at the golden Inn / Jade Garden for the past 30 years back when Sue and Keith ran it. My father even worked in the kitchen before I was born. It’s always been consistently good and I’m so happy to see the new owners Annie and her partner continuing the legacy and doing the food justice.The food is amazing and full of flavour, fresh especially when dining in and the fried ice cream is the best. Definitely the best Chinese in the area and the service is always great. On the off chance something is wrong with a meal the staff always go the extra mile to fix it and make sure you’re satisfied. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!…bring back the goldfish though we miss them :)

I made a take away of honey Chicken, small special fried rice and combination wweet and sour sauce. It seems like this place is the bestChinese restauran in the area. It was very fresh that taste fantastic . Also best part was that it was super clean and very friendly staff
