Inglewood Triangle Reserve
This beautiful remnant patch of urban bushland on Traditional Whadjuk Noongar land is a Banksia Woodland- a threatened ecological community (TEC). It has a diverse range of native flora, including 9 tree species. It is cared for by volunteer group, Friends of Inglewood Triangle, and provides food and habitat for birds, including endangered Black Cockatoo species, lizards, frogs and many invertebrates. The space is fenced and is accessible via 4 gated entrances with limestone paths (The main entrances are on Hamer Parade, and on Eighth Avenue). Each entrance point has a boot-brushing station and signage about best-practice protocols. Dieback disease is present in the area and visitors are asked stay on the paths and brush their boots upon entry and exit to minimise spread of the disease. Dogs must be kept on a lead.
