I love their roast pork and roast duck and egg noodle soup! Their ginger chili sauce is to die for! I wish they sold it in jars. BBQ pork buns taste okay.Staff (mostly teens) are accommodating when you’re ready interacting with them but you have to flag them down for a while before they attend to you.Would’ve been a 5 star if they didn’t put a surcharge on EFTPOS payments and Sunday orders.

We used to come here many times before Covid. This was after a long time after their renovation. We were surprised to see it this empty on Saturday night. Kung Pao chicken was horrible. Different taste. Prawns were ok and fried rice disappointing. Chicken rice was bland. Price very expensive now. Sad to see this place has gone down in food taste and quality. Not too sure if I will come back again!

Very disappointing never come here. I ordered hainanese chicken rice ($20) and chicken noodle soup the chicken ($17), noodle soup came out fast (within 5 minutes) but the hainaese chicken nearly took 30 minutes to come out and it wasn't even that warm (they probably just microwaved it). Only after asking several times did they finally bring it out while the table across us came 20 minutes after us and ordered the hainaese rice as well, her order came only after 5 minutes. When it finally came there was barely any chicken and it was so so so dry that no amount of sauce could fix it. The rice was bland and had no ginger whatsoever couldn't even finish it. They also brought another person's dish to our table (how?). This is not the first time this happened I DO NOT RECOMEND this place as every time I go here and order more than one dish they WILL forget something EVERY TIME.

Was such a popular restaurant in the area, but not anymore due to bad food quality and terrible customer service.They must have changed the chef. They no longer sell roast specialty including meal deals.We have been eating here for years. Everything was much better back then. Now, it is terrible regarding both food quality and customer service.We ordered their laska again. It was pretty plain. The chicken was dry and no more eggplant in the soup (for couple of times now).Sambal mixed greens was very oily, the beans were super bitter.Beef randang was not soft enough and very very salty.Sweet sour pork and fried rice were so so.We normally have mee goreng too. Mee goreng at Chef Lagenda in Flemmington is better than here.Nasi goreng was salty.Customer service was terrible. The waiter who served us the food was very blurred and unfriendly. The waitress, who took our order, missed our drink order.Worst thing was that we dined in today and ordered a regular taro ice blend $6.5. They then charged extra 50 cent for the plastic cup that they put the ice blend in. This is the first time ever that I got charged for a plastic cup even we dined in the restaurant. A bit ridiculous! Why they dont just rise the price to $7 instead, I would be happier to pay.10% surcharge for weekends now. 15% surcharge for public holiday.Overall, very bad experience with this restaurant recently - very disappointed. I would not come back and would not recommend this place at all.

A Deer Park staple! I have been visiting for years and it’s always been solid. I love their Hainanese Chicken Rice. It’s so filling compared to other restaurants and I’m always left satisfied. They used to have a lunch deal for this dish for just $11 which was amazing. I have to say though, prices have been climbing recently and I wouldn’t call this an affordable restaurant anymore. Service is usually pretty good, but some staff can be really rude (short lady).

I’ve been here a couple of times, it’s usually pretty quick, and there’s normally not a wait for a table. The food is good, it hits the spot but it isn’t the most amazing, but considering the options in the area, this is definitely the best Malaysian in the area.
